BiL has done a few times, he's a bit more sensible (aka old) now
The wind has been energizing - bed stripped and remade, bedding washed, I have 11 meals cooling to freeze (beef casserole & mince for pasta, cottage pie etc) & I have pulled everything out from under the stairs and cleaned in there.
Cuddled up now for a "quiet" evening.I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
I'm back (as no girlies and nothing to drink, haha). I had an omelette for my dinner as there were loads of eggs in the fridge. Stuffed it full of ham, cheese, tomatoes and some leftover pasta that my girls had for dinner last night.
Found a recipe for me to cook for girls on Monday in the slow cooker, it's chicken cassiatore and seems so simple that surely even I can't wreck it.Pink Sproglettes born 2008 and 2010

I took son-in-law and DGS and dropped them off at the football ground, and then picked them up after the game .The Gills won with a last minute goal,Mikey was thrilled to bits:)
I have been playing around with my Tivo box and think its just the job for me.Been sniffling for most of the evening I think I maybe coming down with the lurgy that's floating about at the moment .Blooming chilly night tonight but at least I am in the dry and warm.I do feel for those poor souls who have been flooded out I can't imagine how awful it is for them, no amount of insurance can compensate for the horrible thought of your prized possessions being ruined.
Right I'm off to bed to read my latest Ken Follet book.Good Night, God bless all here.

I'm tucked up in bed, also.
Found an interesting, free, course that starts in March that I've signed up for - thanks again, norfolksaver:)
It's occurred to me this evening that for 7 days a week, almost every week, I spend most of the day with just my lovely little dog for company. Weekends are often spent alone whilst OH and sons are at footie or golf.
I'm as responsible as anyone else for getting into a situation where I spend most of my time simply feeding my flock and keeping their clothes clean!!
It's just that for some reason tonight it's struck me quite forcibly that I want things to be different - hopefully this course is a baby step in the right direction but I need to set myself some other goals too - will definitely work on doing that tomorrow while they're all out.
Sorry - tiredness has me rambling on a bit - 'night all, sleep well x0
