Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, it's blowing hard outside. I went to the recycling box and still can't get my hair to lie down.
Binmen caught the plastic recycling bags before they blew away, but they didn't look happy.
Last working day of DH's holiday so we're going to do some cooking. He'll nip out for some Aldi veg then we'll get chopping (I struggle with this as I have poor grip) and make a big pot of mince & a couple of casseroles for the freezer.
Hope everybody stays safe and warm xI can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -

tru. I've had to google 'bore' I'd never heard of it , ended up watching a bore on the river Severn on you tube . Strange stuff.
x
You can "surf" the Severn bore. Anyone fancy breaking out their wetsuits?I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Hope you are all safe and dry, just watched the Severn Bore on YouTube, hadn't heard of it before but it looks amazing as long as everyone can stay safe.
Had salmon and stir fry with slightly bendy veg last night which was very tasty, good to have some 'normal' food. Smoked salmon pasta tonight (the smoked salmon is about to go out of date). Also made 2 lemon drizzle cakes before the lemons turned.
Not sure what I am doing today, I broke my new hoover yesterday (the belt snapped when I hoovered up DDs headphone cable!). Need to wait for another to be delivered. Wet and windy so certainly wont be going for a walk!

Morning all
The weather isnt too bad here, blue skys and just a slight breeze... could be the calm before the storm.
Yesterday I finally took the tree down and packed it all away, gave the living room a good clean and did 1 load of ironing then I gave up and visited a friend and took ds up town as he wanted to buy a few wwe wrestlers, well wilkinsons have them on sale at the mo for £6.50 but only going through the till at £3.75 so bargain! he bought 4 out of his xmas money then he wanted to go to Mr s and collect another toy he has had his eye on....as if he doesnt have enough toys! but its his money so its upto him I suppose, anyway whilst in the sm I had a nose at the reduced section, managed to get 2 large chickens for £2.25 each and 2 packs of bacon for £1 each plus a few other bits spent £15 odd I'm now sure I have enough in to last us 5-6 wks just will need to buy fresh fruit & veg, for this I'll use the farm shop in the village
so plans for today are to finish the washing, make a start on the ironing, hoover all through, make the beds when ds decideds to get out of his...the lazy bones!
Got to nip doctors at 2 to take ds to have his ear syrindged hopefully they manage to get all the wax out else the ENT doctor wants to put him under aneasthetic to totally clear his ears out, the doc can only go in so far to clean them out because he cannot see the ear drum he dare not go in to far with the probe incase he perforates the drum.. poor boy has suffered none stop with his ears in his 8yrs, it has even caused problems with his speech, so hopefully we are at the stage where something is going to be done cos to be honest him going to the ent clinic once every 4 weeks to have his ears partly cleaned out is just not enough cos has fast as they partially clean them out they fill back up again, its a never ending circle.
Tea tonight is a quick one, Cheese and onion rolls LO from xmas, Jacket potatos and beans.
Hope everyone has a good day ((hugs)) to those that need them xG.C July £21.09/£1000 -
Morning all,
Julie, I wish you well with your op on Monday, thinking of you.
Tru, poor mr tru and miscounting his age! I am 50 this year and I still don't know where the years have gone.
Still in bed! Woke up with a fibro neck so have the heated wheat bag and beanbag treatment at the moment. Off out to lunch, mother in law's treat which I am looking forward to. Chicken and chorizo salad for me, must ignore the scampi and chips!
I really must make a start and go through my food cupboards today as I need to menu plan before sunday's internet grocery cut off time.
Does anyone know if it is possible to freeze mushrooms, or do they turn to mush?
Hugs to those who are unwell.
