  • Morning :)

So far so good this morning. Having a nice day - let's hope it stays like that.

Went to Aldi last night and spent almost £20 which is more than I wanted but I needed cereal and lots of fruit and veg. I would moan but I got on the scales last night and I've lost 10lb so it's obviously working so am pleased. Eating healthily seems to be more expensive.

A chq has been taken from an account we don't use and I have a feeling I have written one out in the chq book! I need to check tonight (no pun intended).

I've defrosted some chicken and beef and I am going to do the chicken for tea and the beef in the slow cooker tonight. I am also going to cook and freeze more veg.

I need to pay my farrier still and need £24 for tonight as the back woman is coming for my horse - I have the latter in cash. The dentist is coming soon too but she hasn't confirmed when - I need her to come but I don't have any money to pay - catch 22! Then there's still the livery to pay! I think I am going to use my savings to do that (car budget so must be replaced) as I hate not being in front with that - horses without a home would not help my situ!

I think next week I will have soup and salad for most meals. Toying with the idea. DH needs a decent meal and I can feed kids what he has. Also it will help me get under the next stone marker on the scales. Thinking out loud here.

I will get some soup receipes and get the ingredients in Tesco using my vouchers.

Well yesterday I found some nice (sounding) soup recipes so I've put them in a basket on tesco online groceries and I'll get the other things we will need for the coming week and hopefully not need to pay for anything in cash.

The back woman came out for my horse last night and she was amazing! I have yet to see the results but the way my horse responded to her was fab. She has a poorly poll but it's not out of place so that's good. She manipulated it last night and by 7 - 10 days we should know if the big girl is sound or needs another treatment. Very impressed and informative.

That was paid for so one less thing owing and I'm going to sort out my livery today and will pay that in cash. I'll have to pay next months in a week anyway but at least I'll be on track. Farrier will be paid in cash on Thursday coming too.

Having lost weight I'm spurred on to lose more so actually finding the diet easier these last few days - not to say I won't miss a glass of red tonight!

No spends planned/required for today. I'm off to check accounts.

I have someone interested in an ebay item - we're just doing a deal as the items ended and she can pay me via paypal.

Also I've had my wrap for lunch and thought I'd be so hungry - made it last for 20 mins by working at the same time and now I feel full so they kep for me is to eat slowly. Can't wait to see what I weight tonight - I have the bug.

  • You're doing really well with the weight loss :T:T I've been on soups for lunch this week and have lost a bit too, but I've been doing strength training for the first time in my life for the last couple of months and am having to get used to my belt doing up on a notch that my brain thinks it should only reach when I'm 10lbs lighter, it's a bit weird!

Fingers crossed that one visit from the back lady sorts her.
  • Sounds like you've had a good week! And well done on the weight loss!
  • Morning :)

Thanks both! Well I have made the commitment to getting under the stone mark this week. I've got my HM soup for lunch today and will either have a different soup for tea or a salad, will see how I feel. I'll do that every day and may even consider going for a run. Determined doesn't cover it!!!! It will make such a difference to my self esteem seeing those scales start with the next number down! I think in turn this will have a positive 'ripple' affect on the rest of my life.

Caz - what do you do for strength training? I like the sound of that.

Money wise, I was PO at the weekend as couldn't find my Tesco vouchers to use in the shop. This means I will have to use them online and pay their ridiculous delivery charges. It's ok tho as it's money not having to come out of my account ultimately. No further spends this weekend and diesel planned for today but no spends tomorrow. Wed will be a grocery top up shop then no spends Thurs / Fri.Pay day will finally arrive on Fri!

  • I'm doing bodyweight exercises, as it's not so easy to get to a gym up here :) Currently I'm doing three circuits of the Nerd Fitness Beginner Bodyweight Workout three times a week, but when I started I did it twice a week for six weeks (and it took me three weeks before I could three full circuits) and still saw a real difference. Feeling super positive this morning!

I'm not spending (outside of essentials that are from budget) at all now. I used to buy lunch and breakfast at work a few times a week which easily was £10. Also other bits here and there all add up to £30 a week normally, sometimes more. This was coming out of overdraft, no matter how I tried to disguise the fact!

I feel great - I'm losing weight, passed the cravings stage, can handle the discipline of it now (Ie not just getting a biscuit cos I feel hungry) and health wise can feel a difference. I'm planning on do some form of exercise tonight - the only other exercise I do is my horse riding but haven't been doing as much as I'd like with what's been going on with her. That will change over a few months but in the mean time I'll step it up elsewhere.

Target is still to be under the stone marker by weekend, which means I'll be at my "lightest" for 10 years or so.

We've decided to make some changes to the house which will add value so that's planned for around May time as I'm hoping to get a bonus then, we do normally but always a "wait and see" job. Not all of it will go to that of course, it'll go to debt.

Lovely crisp morning here, shame to have to come to work but I'd never get rid of the debt otherwise!

    Afternoon :)

Having a nice and steady day today. Lunch is a wrap today as I left my flask at work last night so couldn't bring my soup in. I'll have the soup for tea instead. It amazes me how much I used to eat!!! Been thinking about it. I would have 4 or 5 items in lunch - wrap, crisps, yog, choc & fruit or whatever! Now I have 1 wrap!

Becoming a bit OCD on the scales at the mo however still feeling motivated so it's not a bad OCD yet.

No spends yesterday nor will there be today :D

I put diesel in the other day and normally it's gone by now but it may just see me to pay day on Friday!

    Loving doing this atm!
