Employer questioning my toilet habits

PS I'm able to last on 10 hours flights without needing to go. Also not all periods are the same (e.g light flows) and certain types of menstrual products only need replacing every 8 hours.
Oops..did you meant to say that 'only need replacing every 8 hours?!!' From what I've always been led to believe it's recommended for health reasons to be changed at the very least every 8 hours - often less - even googled it just now to check. That's the recommended maximum time to prevent toxic shock syndrome kicking in. Unless you mean 'the cup' method where they suggest 12 hours but then I guess that is flow dependent. As you say different people suffer differently, and I would hate to think any toilet monitoring managers or supervisors out there would think women in general don't have to 'change' their products during an 8 hour day. I know of people that couldn't last an hour.
Sorry Op for going off topic - another TMI posting0 -

That was me fairly recently.......and I certainly couldn't have held down a job that took me out of the house, or even two minutes away from a loo for that matter, even if I'd wanted to (fortunately DH and I run our own business from home). Fortunately that's all over with now
Back on topic though and I agree it's not just us ladies with weaker bladders - DS is 24 and he is renowned for not being able to hold on for more than two or three hours. Luckily his employers (office based) are more considerate than the OP's........Mortgage-free for fourteen years!

I work in a call centre where "personal time" aka bog breaks are monitored.
Within days of my starting i had an email from management about the fact i was having bog breaks..... I was mortified but quick word with my manager to explain i have to go frequently due to a medical condition which means i am covered under the equality act and its never been mentioned again.Spelling courtesy of the whims of auto correct...

Just to respond.....at weekends I often sleep for 12 hours - and don't change my sanitary protection during this period. Still alive after 30 years of menstruation!0 -
I reckon a full and frank discusion is needed. God, it'll be awkward but needs to happen. Next time they say anything ask for a word in private and air your concerns.0

Speak to the person in question, and simply say "You asked how long I spend in the toilet the other day. That's not a usual question to ask someone at work, so it seems that there is a reason that you asked me. Please can you tell me what, so we can discuss it?"
Then deal with the outcome.' <-- See that? It's called an apostrophe. It does not mean "hey, look out, here comes an S".0 -
