Employer questioning my toilet habits

I had some being "picked on" when I was still working and basically worked out that it was best to react with ways of making it "too much of a headache" to keep doing this to me by retaliating with constant questioning/details/etc until they decided it was just too much trouble to "stay on my case" and left me alone.
I too was a decent employee and didn't "take the Michael" and therefore didn't deserve the "being picked on" they were doing.
My default position is normally to confront any problems head on but in a very professional and considered manner.
Could it make my working life more intolerable if I stand up for myself ? Possibly. But it might become more intolerable if I don't stand up for myself too.
The management need to be aware that company policy applies to them too and not just to the rest of the staffNo Unapproved or Personal links in signatures please - FT30 -
tell 'em you've got cystitis.0

How would you know if you are lingering longer than other members of staff unless you are monitoring them, which would be a bit sad?
I think its better to let this one go. Starting a confrontation will only escalate things and filing a formal grievance would be over the top.0 -

stop being daft, my guess is the OP doesn't walk around with his eyes closed so knows when someone goes to the toilet or says "I'm off to the toilet" .
@op depends how the managers are but I would deffo ask them if there is a problem, not so much with the toilet issue but in general.
They either think you are not pulling your weight.
Going for a tab
Really do think you are taking too long
Or are just the run of the mill nasty employers and have a dislike for you.
which ever it is, saying nothing is unlikely to help matters, as to me it has crossed a line, you need to know where you stand with them, if it was a genuine question then no harm done, if it's a sign they have it in for you then you, best know sooner than later, you should be able to tell which it is, with how they answer your questions.0 -
I would file a grievance, this is bordering sexual harassment.Be happy...;)0

Keep a note every time they harrass you like this, and make sure they know you are keeping a note.0

and what is the OP to do with these notes?
take it to a tribunal? where he (think OP said he was a he?) has about a 5% of winning if it ever gets that far.
The OP is better to do one of three things, confront the issue, leave alone and hopes the situation improves or look for a better employer.
The OP has stated 2 managers have confronted him, walking around with a note book in that situation is very unlikely to improve anything, more like make things a lot worse.
I'm all for fighting but you have to know when the rules are such it makes it pointless.0 -

Women need to go to the loo more often and for longer periods of time and, 'scuse if TMI, but if its the Wrong Time of the Month then there might be times when they have to get there instantly and blow the job.
As a man and only going to the loo twice a day that's far from excessive in anyone's book (provided you aren't sticking around in there and smoking a crafty fag as well). If you're just straightforward going to the loo and coming straight back to work then they have no cause to complain.
Personally, I'd be keeping my own records in your position as to how often I went and for how long - and make them "detailed";). That way you prove you aren't taking too long and, hopefully, gross them out with those "details";).
That's exactly what I would do in your position. Obviously, as a woman I could do a good bit more "grossing out" with "details" than you are in a position to do as a man. But I still advocate that tactic.
You are mistaken. Some women need to go more often than others. Just like some men need to go more often than others. Just letting you know - I wouldn't want you to perpetuate anymore mythical stereotypes about women than we already have to suffer!
PS I'm able to last on 10 hours flights without needing to go. Also not all periods are the same (e.g light flows) and certain types of menstrual products only need replacing every 8 hours.0
