We have to ask in Stevenage. And remind them that it's £2 PER ITEM overcharged.
However, there is an old lady with BIG GREY hair on CS and she is scary. She has argued the toss with my missus on loads of occasions and I have to say that Wifey comes off second best more often than not with her. It's like the £2 is coming out of her own pocket!!
If you shop in Stevo, you'll know the old girl I'm talking about.........shudder brrrrr
Yes i know who you are on about0 -
Does the £2 refund only apply if you shop at store or is it onine as well. I can't seem to find the info about it on the website. Thanks0

I have just spoken to Asda CS and am told that the answer to your question is yes, you would need to contact them via CS;- 0500 100055
or your home shopping account service team either via the net or 0845 3007770, for this number you could try the freephone number for CS and ask for "Home Shopping" there are other numbers on the Saynoto0870 site;- http://www.saynoto0870.com/search.php and put ASDA into the "enter company name here"
I have received a £10 gift card voucher re my post #18 above and have asked for a letter on headed note paper detailing their policy on overcharging, when I receive it I will post it.
Edit to add, the £10 gift card was received yesterday, today I have received a duplicate letter and £10 gift card, I have rung Asda CS and told them of the duplication and asked if I should destroy one of the cards, I was told no, it is our mistake, spend it with our compliments, and she will update my "file" to say it is OK.
Full marks from me for Asda.Don`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0 -

In regards to the not coming out of their pocket, it may come out of store bonuses.

Yeah, I know who you mean. She seems to always be there no matter what time you go in.0 -
I very rarely get overcharged at Asda, but if I do I have received a card - I have sometimes had to ask but not always.
I hardly ever get overcharged at Morrisons or Sainsbury's. And less often now at Tesco but I don't do misprice hunting anymore as it isn't really worth the effort!3 kids(DS1 6 Nov, DS2 8 Feb, DS3 24 Dec) a hubby and two cats - I love to save every penny I can!

How does it happen, do the items scan higher than the sticker price?0

Yes, that's exactly how.
Or items have been reduced (yellow "Whoops!" stickers), but still scan at their original price. That seems to be the most frequent instant of Asda overcharging to me.0
