Our contract after you have ordered
"Sometimes we have to hold our hands up and admit we have made a mistake by unintentionally publishing inaccurate information on the site (e.g. the price, description or availability of a product you have ordered). In this instance we may have to cancel your order at any time up to the point we send you the product(s), even if you have received your Order Confirmation email, and you will receive a full refund of any charges already paid."
Currys have stated they sent it, hence they are not in a position to cancel the order.0 -
BTW, there are a few more points to this saga:-
- The delivery was signed for, but not physically checked by the branch staff
- At one point, I had Currys customer service stating that the goods had been delivered whilst simultaneously being told the opposite by the branch
- Currys started, and then stopped a Lost in Transit investigation due to an alleged request for a refund (untrue)
- Currys customer service have blamed the branch for the issue so as to divert blame from their central processes
- Despite several assurances, Currys customer service have not returned a telephone call once.

Thanks, Sooler - but Currys did not publish inaccurate information. They have admitted that the goods were placed on the delivery vehicle, but did not arrive at the branch. This only leaves two options:-
1. The goods were stolen
2. They were received but accidentally sold by the branch
Neither of which have been admitted to..................0 -

Or there was a computer / typing error and the goods were not in fact put on the vehicle in the first place.0 -
So, Christmas has been and gone... this was to be a Christmas surprise, what did you give instead?:hello:0

An empty promise that it would be coming soon...................0 -

Either way, there's some dishonesty going on....................0 -
As with all of the other 'xxx has ruined my Christmas' threads, the common theme is leaving things to the last minute. Your fault there was no wriggle room if anything went wrong.
You then chose not to replace the present with anything else.
What do you want them to do? Invent a time machine, go back to 21st and start all over again? Not going to happen, is it?
Just accept the refund and move on... and next year, if you absolutely have to have something then physically secure it yourself.:hello:0 -

Thanks - you've earnt your commission from Currys. My complaint is about service (or lack thereof) and dishonesty. I know that my options are currently limited - but it's accepting these situations that lets the big organisations continue to mistreat their customers. I work in a service industry, and if we treated our clients like this, there would be no business. There is no excuse for poor service / communication.0 -
Mistreat? C'mon now - gave you never made a mistake ?
As much As I dislike being an apologist for Currys-DSG, incompetence is a fact of life. I'd take the view that there was a reason you didn't get it - it could equally have been a duff product or a Friday machine, and you've been spared bad karma.
Get your money back and move on - getting bitter and twisted helps nobody, just remember where not to buy in future!0
