By my reckoning that costs you £13.33 per month all in against a contract price of £12.50 - where is the saving?0 -

The 'saving' should always be with the ridiculously long tie in because you are effectively committing yourself to one mobile supplier for the next 2 years! A 30 day SIM gives you so much more flexibility because the supplier knows full well you can be out of there in 30 days should they mess you about.
PS And anyway, you aren't comparing like with like as that poster's SIM deal is quite a bit more generous than your deal, specifically more mins and, perhaps more crucially with a smartphone like the Moto G, double the data.0 -

Fair point, but to be honest a 2 year contract doesn't bother me in the slightest, I am not interested enough in having the latest model of phone to warrant being able to upgrade more frequently than that.
Yes the comparison with the details of the SIM deal is flawed, but again I don't need more minutes/texts/data than the Tesco deal is offering - I guess it is just horses for courses0 -
So what your saying is I can save 83p per month in having a 24month contract. Is that worth it? Being stuck in a 24month contract....By my reckoning that costs you £13.33 per month all in against a contract price of £12.50 - where is the saving?
Whereas I can get out of this sim contract after 30days (as ive had it running for years, and yes it is a good deal)
So lets see 83p x 24months = £19.92 more for me to pay this way in 2 years
30 clubcard points (as you get treble clubcard points on all top ups) x (lets say 24months to compare) = £.7.20 in clubcard points
£7.20 x 4 (as im using my clubcard points in the deals book where there worth 4times more)= £28.80 in the deals book.
Edited just to day 500mb of data is way too low for me. As for my minutes and texts, no I don't use them all but the 1gb compensates
Thus saving me £8.88 per year...
Thought ide point this out as for me this is a no brainer!!
Horses for courses as you say.....0
