Thank you. I have looked on Trip Advisor and read quite alot of reviews (not sure which one is yours though).
It does sound like a nice site, but I am concerned about the extra costs to try and keep my children entertained.....
We have been to 'Chateaux des Ormes' in Brittany for the last 3 years - this is an excellent site but just wanted to try somewhere new and hopefully slightly better weather. Any other advise, great fully received? Parc Asterix - worth a visit? Nearby supermarket?
    Many thanks

I stayed at La Croix in October half term and my caravan was lovely and warm. The site was great! We used it mainly as a base for going out and about though, although we did play crazy gold and go on the boat lake (which you do have to pay extra for). There are supermarkets nearby, which are better value than the one on the site. We found an Aldi (or it might've been Lidl) but there were others too.

I'd go again as we loved it.

The site puts on transport into Paris and Disney, and although it's quite pricey, we did the Paris one as I didn't fancy driving to Paris. I did drive to Disney though, which was an easy drive.

Hello! Thank you for everyone for your help on here! We've booked LA Croix de Vieux Pont for the end of April. What is it the like? Website looks awesome but I know that they will always big it up! It also says Standard accomadation what will that be (DO NOT say a tent :P). I'm so excited I may burst!

Lovely site, we went there last October half term and loved it there. We had a lovely caravan with radiators in every room, so didn't feel the cold at all. Lots to do on the site, there's wifi in the bar which you pay 5 euros for (for the whole day and how ever many ipads etc you have), a couple of places to eat which were OK, although the takeaway service was really slow.

I'd go back again and am actually thinking of booking when the next Sun holidays come out as I've booked somewhere in England with this time.

    Hope you enjoy it!
  • We had a great time here in october as well. I particularly liked the hedging between the eurocamp vans, which gave a feeling of privacy, as well as being a buffer against any low level noise that you sometimes get on large parks.

I would definitely go back, and it was our second choice this time after dunirell( which we managed to get)

We didn't get to disney or asterix as i had a knee injury which i hadn't fully recovered from, and couldn't manage the rides.
Definitely an excuse to go back:D
  • Actually, it was keycamp not eurocamp we stayed with in la croix, but i think they are effectively the same company.

I was a bit late trying to book on Sunday, so was disappointed, but not surprised that none of my choices were coming up. I have re-tried every day since, just in case any more slots wee released. I am pleased to say I managed to get my first choice booked last night (Parkdean Sandford 14th Feb), so if you haven't had any luck so far, it might be worth another try :-)

sorry, new to this but thank you!
  • I have used the Sun holidays for 3 years running to go away in the October half term hols however when I tried on the first couple of days I couldn't get anything for any of the half term holidays! I was looking for Skegness Southview Park resorts but it kept bringing up somewhere in France as an alternative! I tried various options and all dates it said where for non school hol times ( I work in a school so it isn't an option). I gave up thinking its just really busy this year! However at least 4 different friends have been on in the last few days and have got where they wanted and when without any issue so I thought I'd give it another crack. However tonight I have tried to log on to the website and it just keeps deleting the details. I have inputted my booking ref, all the codes (up to the ps61) and my email address numerous times now and every time I click book now it just wipes it all!! Does anyone have any clue what I'm doing wrong?? Is it too late?:(
