I take it to do that I would have had to NOT book the ferry at the time I booked the accommodation on the Sun Website. Now I have selected the Portsmouth-Caen crossing I can't change?
I can't see any link to ferry booking in the Confirmation email.
We had to take Portsmouth-Caen too. I did check with Brittany Ferries for Plymouth-Roscoff before booking but no availability on the dates we were travelling. It's about a third cheaper to book through the Sun, but the extra driving will probably negate the saving.
You get the ferry confirmation separately from the accommodation confirmation, as it's direct from Brittany Ferries. In the past I have changed details of the booking (eg adding a trailer, booking a cabin, etc) but never tried changing the route.

Thanks for that springdreams, I've tried a lot of parks and date selections and even the ones with halfboard options (UK) as a test and I do not get a radio button
Maybe I'm just unlucky and I've missed out xxx

Hi please can anyone help, i booked my sun holiday online an hour ago. However, it took me to the verified by visa page and once completed it took me back to the booking page and it said sorry your holiday has been reallocated please try again. The money has left my account and i have an email confirming payment for a holiday but no booking confirmation email??? I havent got a clue how to contact them, the phone number on the website just says "sorry this service is no longer available". Somebody please HELP!!!!!!
The telephone number for the Sun Holiday helpline is 0844 543 9743 and opens on the 27th February 2014. If you would like to contact The Sun Holiday team before this date you can send them an email at
ukholidaysinthesun.co.uk/contactus
With www. in front of the email, had to miss it of as I am new it wont let me post links.
Hope this helps a little, you might have to try and email as you can see it says lines don't open till end of Feb.

You cant do 7 nights in any uk parks, but you can book four and three nights running back to back if there is availability.
Have you not been able to get any availability for any of the european parks, even for four nights?0 -
Hi holidaysforme,
Thanks for the info; As a test I was just trying the short breaks in the UK, with the ones I know have half board options and no radio buttons appear at all.
Yes I have been able to get availabilty in Europe - so you have just sprung a thought into my mind... Perhaps I might try to book a three/four night then add on to it perhaps with even a diff park in the same area?...We wouldnt mind the drive as we will take the car xxx0 -

We have done this. One time we couldn't get a straight seven night break, so we booked the four nights in the jan promotion, and then added on the three nights at the same park on the july round of hols to make it a week for october.
What a good idea to do two different parks close to each other.
Good luck whatever you choose.:)0 -

hanky crediteHave you had your £9.50 Red Spotted d yet? My hubby is still waiting for his grrrrrrr
Sorry to go OT but yes the £9.50 credit is in my RSH account. I have, however, applied through other promotions and not received the credit.
I don't think RSH let people know whether or not they have been successful. I've had two credits out of five applications.0 -

The Breakfree website states
To book a 7 night holiday you will need to make 2 consecutive bookings, for example to book a week's holiday starting on a Monday - book a break Monday to Friday and then book another break at the same park starting the Friday for Friday to Monday, when you receive confirmation letter from the holiday park you will need to contact them and inform them of the 2 bookings and you want a 7 night break.
Most of Breakfree's parks are the same ones as in the Sun offers. So it might be worth a try if you've got two consecutive breaks at the same park booked with the Sun.0 -
Hi All
Was so glad to be of assistance on Saturday night by giving you all the last word. I myself have been looking on this site for the last few years for the code word, and always been so happy to get in before all the other bookers.
I haven't ever posted before, but wanted to return the favour.
Thanks to all of you code crackers for your efforts, I tried various 2letter 2 number codes before I remembered about my friend in the knowsshhh
Happy holidays everyone xx
