I've been charged for two holidays - one to a book I didn't even book and one for a booking that they cancelled straight after payment and didn't let me complete! I've emailed about it but would really like to speak to someone. The 0844 543 9743 number isn't working now. This is the second time I've tried with Sun Holidays and I've been put off them for life!

Hi did u get to speak to anyone about this ? I just tryed to book thay took payment but then it cancelled and said my options wernt available ! Thanks Tracey

Does anyone know what grade of caravan you get at a Park-Resorts place when you choose a 'Luxury Plus' upgrade. Is it equivalent to a gold? Many thanks x

    EDIT - It's a 'silver +'.
  • Hi all,it is the first time for us both with the Sun Hol and Butlins.
Does anyone know if you get an apartment or an hotel room? We are a family of 3 and I would love to stay at the Ocean or the Wave Hotels. Also,we are going in October so we will be using Splash Waterworld a lot,do I have to buy the Entertainment Passes or is that included in the price? Regarding the food...is it better to buy a dining plan or is it not worth it? Any advice is very welcome!
  • Is it still a Eurocamp van you get with the sun at Duinrell? we had eurocamp in france and were very happy with it.

Did you book half board or self catering?

If you booked self catering then you get a standard apartment - which at BR is one bedroom with sofabed in living room you can phone and upgrade to silver apartment which is 2 beds for about £40

The entertainment passes are optional - although Butlins will tell you that you need them to get into the pool, ents venues etc but in reality you don't.

Cant comment on dining packages as we go self catering and take easy food ie pizzas for first night, pasta and ready made sauce, ready meal currys etc that you just bung in oven....

We have eaten in the dining restaurants as you can pay on the day and just go for one meal all inclusive but it was £50 for a family of 4 for an evening meal all you could eat - but i think it is expensive if you do it for every meal... and too easy to overeat just for the sake of it as it's paid for:o

Yes, used the 0845 number suggested and they said they'd refund as they'd 'fixed the booking' after. Definitely call them or email through the website. They're refusing to book the campsite that was booked even though I'd not listed that one as they don't believe me though!
