I had a true nightmare with TT few years back Broadband and phone line. My connection speed was worse than Dial up and they just didn't care, nearly an hour at time on hold and then when I got a human on the line they would say they putting me through to people only to cut me off. Considering the part of the Carphonewarehouse which is great face to face customer service the TT lot was terrible.0

We've been with TalkTalk for about 8 years and have recently been having problems with them. Our area should be getting up to 16mb download speeds but we are barely getting 1.5mb now, and the signal drops out every half an hour or so. It used to happen maybe twice a day, but now it's gone downhill very rapidly. Have tried using their twitter support account who asked us to go to their website and carry out a test so they could see if it was our router, that bit of their website didn't work properly! Had an online conversation with one of their support team last night who said that an engineer would call us between 8am and 10am this morning so "ensure you are at home and ready to perform some diagnostic tests......" As I'm sure you can guess, no phone call so we are carrying on with the rest of our day.
We've just bought a Smart TV and can't be arsed sitting round waiting for TalkTalk to sort out the problems before we can use the telly to its full potential, especially as we're being charged £25 a month for crap service. I'm phoning around other providers today
*Update: They phoned an hour late (may not sound like much but I'm a stickler for keeping deadlines), the phone was right in front of me when it rang and in the time it took me to pick it up and answer the call (5 secs?), the call was cut off followed, 10 seconds later, by a text saying that they engineer would call between 8am and 10am tomorrow. Totally unacceptable I'm afraid, what happens if I don't pick my phone up in record speed time tomorrow? Will it roll over to Monday when I'm back at work? Not a happy bunny!0 -
After 5 years with Tiscali/Talk Talk I left at the end of November
Continual dropped connections and sloooooow speeds. Telephone support was dreadful.
After leaving they then took more money out of my account, then apologised and said it would be refunded, still waiting for that. Meanwhile they have taken more money, another apology and promise to refund, still waiting.0 -
I have never use this. My BB is already very slow. On the Golden roll, this talk talk is hell...lolz...0

My speed went down when they took over Tiscali. I was expecting an engineer today before 9am to check the equipment as they say my speed should be 11Mbps + NOT 3.1 which is my present speed !
Just spoke to an 'advisor' and it seems they have booked the engineer to call on the 13th NOT today.
Time to look for a new internet provider I think. The best portion of your life will be the small, nameless moments you spend smiling with someone who matters to you.0 -
The nightmare that is Talk Talk continues!
After being told that there was a fault on the line by their customer service agent, which was NOT found by the 'engineer' who eventually appeared, I have now been charged £50 !
They said I had a fault on the line and needed an engineer NOT me!
I have had my wiring checked before I spoke to them.
Now waiting to speak to someone in 'engineering charges'
Spoke to a lady - nothing they can do, its a valid charge.
Have now got their cancellations phone number and am looking for a new internet provider. The best portion of your life will be the small, nameless moments you spend smiling with someone who matters to you.0 -
I was with TalkTalk, now with Sky. Avoid TalkTalk at all times, they should be investigated. :mad:0

I hate to tell you this but if you were with BT the open reach engineer would have charged more than twice that !0
