Hey Ladies,
Thought I'd check in! Not been about for a while as we've just moved house and had no broadband for a week! Move was manic but I love my new house, its a newbuild with lots of space for Poppy and our pets. I've already spoken to more people walking the dogs in a week here than I did at my old house where I lived for 10 years! Its a lovely estate with young families and no main roads so perfect for playing out and making friends.
Don't talk to me about tantrums, I'm at the end of my tether with them! Poppy is now at the stage of lashing out if I say no and she only does it with me! Good news is she starts Nursery for the first time next week when I go back to work after the summer holidays. She has always been with my Mum when I work but I feel she is ready now and I'm sure the interactions with the other children will do her good. The nursery is great, has a great SENCO to support her and they are aware of her medical problems and delays. No doubt I'll be a nervous wreck on Monday when I drop her off though!
We are still no nearer to potty training, I know she isn't ready so not thinking about that yet.
Poppy eats less than an ant and just picks constantly, she is gaining weight so I'm happy and although still a tiddler (in 9-12 month clothes still!) she is in proportion.
Great news about trying for number 2 sunshine, hope all goes well there and god luck going through it all again!!
Good news about the car Gilly, I couldn't live with out my car! I am trying to walk more often and I took Poppy on the bus the other day as she had never been on one! Was a bloody nightmare, she wanted to stand up, when I said no she had a meltdown of epic proportions! We got off at the next stop and it's an experience I won't be repeating for a while yet!
Anyway that is my epic update, I might try and add a new picture of Poppy if I can remember how!

The car thing makes such a difference (especially since I never got my mobility fully back after the SPD which still flares up now) - my mum basically pays for us to keep a second one on the road and the difference it makes to life during the week is massive.
As for tantrums - I've got them in stereo now - the little one's started to discover trying (and failing) to get her own way on everything... fun fun fun - not!Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0 -
Hi All!
I now have a 6 month old baby. I'd forgotten how messy weaning is. And that's despite having a 2.5 year old who still gets her food round her mouth and down her clothes on a regular basis!
I already miss the 'milk' nappies :heartpuls Daughter born January 2012 :heartpuls Son born February 2014 :heartpuls

Yay for six months Crabapple! My little superstar is seven months tomorrow. Poor little boy has a nasty cold, all snot and wet coughs. Last night was terrible, waking up so often, and distressed too. We've done well to get so far without anything more serious though so I'm counting blessings. I'm staying in my pyjamas for now, my mum is going to pop round and take Baby for a buggy walk so I can go back to bed for an hour, just in case we have same again tonight.fran-o0

Have made a rod for my own back here... made Erin a numtum because she's blooming obsessed (not playing favourites - her sister got the last cuddly toy I made)... she turns around and announces he's really snuggly - can she have a number 3 one as well now?Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0

Aw lovely pic Dizzi
I'll try and keep this brief. 1.5 glasses of wine and tipsy. Lightweight over here!
G had his first session at play school this morning. I was dreading him crying as I left but he was ok. When I said I was going home he jumped up to come too and he looked sad and confused when I said he was staying to play. The manager was right there and sat with him though so he was fine. Apparently he asked for me alot but was fine when she told him I'd be back later. He's back again tomorrow then thats it til next Thursday, only two days a week for now. Although I can totally in a week or two he'll be asking to go everyday!
Potty training, we've had to take a break, little man had an "accident" that left him distraught and desperate to have a nappy back on, so that, big deadline for me and starting play school means we're back to nappies for the time being. When he's properly settled at play school we'll try again.
Anyway, hope you're all well, will attempt to catch up tomorrow, when I'm less tipsyNewborn thread member

Quiet on here today! Hope everyones ok?
Well day two at play school wasn't so great. Although he ran in happy as anything he was clingy every time I moved before I left him. No tears that I saw, but I got a call half way through the session to say he was distressed and asking for me. So I picked him up a bit early. They said he was just sobbing and asking for me, dada and woof woof (the dog is actually starting to respond to G calling him woof woof now!). Bless him, he'd calmed down by the time I got there but his little face was all blotchy from crying. Hopefully next week will be better.
Anyway, back to work, happy Friday everyone!Newborn thread member

Hugs Katie.
I know it's hard when they get upset, but he will get used to things. I had days with my daughter when she would not want to go, would cry when I left, and I'd be frantically on the phone asking if she was fine and usually once I was gone she started playing.
The more he goes the more he'll see it as normal and you'll just be greeted by an excited little boy glad to see mummy and full of all the fun things he has done!
(Or you'll get one like mine who does grumpy face when she sees me because she knows it means she has to go home, and complains all the way back in the car going 'I miss my school'. Way to feel wanted!):heartpuls Daughter born January 2012 :heartpuls Son born February 2014 :heartpuls

Spending the day making crochet hair scrunchies over some cheapo bobbles that don't stay in the eldest's really fine bane of my life hair... trying to work up the motivation to start on Christmas presents for people - got 4 hats I need to do, another numtum (or 9 in Erin's plans), want to get some things made for the dressing up box since I found a cool pirate hat pattern, got a few hair band patterns to have a go at and since I'm stuck in the house as the husband is out doing ridiculous amounts of work overtime - may as well get on with something productive or other.
Had Bobbi at the doctors yesterday - she had her MMR late (for various reasons) about 3 weeks ago - came right up in what looked like a very measles type rash over the course of yesterday so had her down to get looked at just in case - GP confirmed the same thinking I had that it was just linked to the jabs and that she's fine but that yes, it did look quite measely - quite chuffed I called that one right really!
Waiting for the last bits of stomach bug to clear from the house before we have another go at potty training - Erin's started to tell me she's pooed and ask to be changed so I'm hoping it'll click well this time around or she's going to have to start pre-school in nappies.Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0
