I miss Fluff and the pictures of Freddie
Just noticed it's his birthday tomorrow - I think someone (Katie, I'm looking at you!
) should drop a hint that we'd quite like a photo of Birthday Boy

Hi Everyone
hope your all well and thank you for your support re health visitor. I've tried to be quite conscious of giving lo more iron rich foods but have ignored the bottle/meat/oj advice.
We've had 3 awful nights here. The worst we've ever had. lo was up crying 5 times last night. He still got up at 5 too. I'm fearing seperation anxiety but he's also teething (very obviously so as one tooth has popped through and the other is peeping through plus the ones at the side of his top teeth look like they might be coming too).
Anyone know if there's another sleep regression at 9 months? His naps are hit and miss.. In fact that's how it started.
It's only 3 days and I keep having to remind myself that he slept through 7 out of 10 nights before this!
He's good as gold in the day/doesn't fall asleep in car (which only happens when he's actually tired) so I don't think he's overtired. He's about to start crawling as he's now doing little push ups and getting up on his knees. When I go for him in the morning he's always on his knees smiling away.
Help! !0 -
sorry to hear about your restless nights Bangton, hope LO gives you more sleep soon. If you look on the internet, pretty much every month has a sleep regression! Just starting to crawl sounds like LO might be about to start a leap (wonder weeks) so might be getting disturbed sleep from that. Teething is also supposed to disturb sleep but my LO has no teeth yet so I wouldn't know. My LO hasn't gone through a regression since 4/5 months and started sleeping better at 7 months. He's almost 10 months and hasn't experienced a sleep disturbance since. I still don't take sleep for granted and I'm dreading separation anxiety and teething!0

We had sleep regression at 9 months - she'd just figured out crawling and was up at all hours practising. Coincided nicely with my return to work....:o Developmental milestones definitely lead to disrupted sleep, especially when combined with teething. Sending hugs and sleep vibes to your little man x0

Same here Bangton, although ours hasn't been so bad by the sounds of it. I think the poor babies find it hard to switch off from their new found skills! Fingers crossed tonight will be better for you xx0

Evening ladies,
I am sorry to those of you struggling with sleep regressions I remember how hard it is. Developmental leaps are always hard, add in constant teething and it's a nightmare.
I've come on for some advice. What sort of things do you do with your toddlers? Lo is 15 months old and I'm struggling to think of some fun things to do to keep him amused on and off all day. I seem to lose steam come afternoon. I'm looking on line and have some ideas but just wanted to know what you ladies doNewly Married, not a 2b anymore!! Mum to two wonderful boys!0 -
Hi guys (remember me?
)
MrsH. We do things like go to the park, go puddle splashing if it's rainy, we play in the garden every single day, make cakes (he helps 'mix' the mixture, I put a massive bath sheet down and just wash it afterwards) play dough, watch some tv/films (I know not everyones cuppa tea, but I dont mind in moderation) we go for lunch, go to the cinema on a Wednesday (2for1) or Sat morning (cheap £1.50 showings) walk to the cafe for cake and babycinos, read books, do jigsaws, play with duplo (this is an excellent one he loves it)
Other times he helps me do what we have to do, 'sweep' 'mop' 'hoover' he will empty the washing machine for me, hands it to me as I peg it out, all that sort of stuff, we also do time every day where he plays on his own, I think it's very good if they don't get used to 24/7 entertainment, stops them growing up to be a 'I'm booooooored Mum' type.
On another note, sympathies to those suffering with development leaps and lack of sleep. I loved 'The Wonder Weeks' book and app, it's fab for explaining all these times.
As for us, we are officially daytime potty trained I *think* was just inside trained but we've gone out now with just pants and it was a success, so yay!
Hope everyone is ok, feel like I'm never on here anymore xxThe frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -

We do days out when DH and I are off together (Wed & Sun). On our days alone we do swimming, park, supermarket as a regular get out of the house (and because we live in the country, swimming and supermarket are 25 mins away in car). He has a bit of a chill out most afternoons with a bit of Mr Tumble on the telly. He helps with pegging out washing, watches me hoover, he will play with his toys for a bit, but mostly just wants to roam from room to room (he can reach up and open all the handles). He's not really at a help with cooking stage... either just eats it, or wants to eat it, doesn't understand prep. Essentially we spend little time in the house!
We've season tickets for the local Parrot Zoo and find that to be a real help, just pop in there for only 30 mins some days as a bit of an activity. I'd recommend getting a season ticket for somewhere so it's an easy trip.
For those with sleep issues, I feel for you. Since T has turned 12 months (ish) he's only just now regularly sleeping through, I don't miss the wake ups!
