What exactly did you do in the garden?? Am nosey cos I feel I really should be into the whole gardening thing, but I'm crap and useless and wouldn't know where to start. Good encouraging words on INOD's diary though.


I think it's good that you're getting in there though, I bet you will love it once you get going properly - I hear you re: issues with sis & BiL. Sounds as though you've had a nice day with your mum too xxx


Sorry you've had a rough time over the past week or so. Really appreciate your honesty re: the break up and how you've been getting through it. For what its worth I remember the last break up I went through, where it really actually horribly hurt, I went through a phase of buying myself flowers to cheer myself up but it didn't, it was just vile.


Yer a good 'un, Buffy. All things will pass. Never once during the time I've read your diary have I felt that your spirits have run dry...you're made of stern stuff mate and when you do feel down and out you have the sense to talk about it, which is just ace.

Hello lovely!

You're probably not as unfit as you think. The first gardening session of the year is an absolute killer. No matter how much exercise you do generally, gardening is guaranteed to find the muscles you haven't used in a while and make you hobble like a 90 year old for a couple of days. I only weeded two little beds yesterday and my back's killing me today.

It's also easy to get dehydrated while gardening, especially if the weather is warm, which might be why you felt rough afterwards.

At the moment I'm feeling like relationships never make me happy, and I'm wondering if they are a thing I want/need in my life. But then I think about the kids growing up and me living on my own, and I know I would hate that so much, because I wouldn't be one of those women who fills her life with social events and friends. I'd be a hermit and would waste my life doing nothing.

It's too soon to think about it for me anyway, but don't feel under pressure to do (or not do) anything. You'll know when the time is either right, or wrong-but-you-can-feel-the-fear-and-do-it-anyway.

I need to get back on here to stop myself from sliding into debt. I've had no choice but to use my credit card a bit this last few weeks, and as money is going to be very tight now I'm back to life as a single mum, I MUST stay on top of it.

You and me both have been gardening today Buffy. I have the same hair too - I expect Russell Brand spends a lot of time and money getting his hair the way it is - all I have to do is sleep on mine and hey presto!

Am watching a documentary on South Africa. tonight as I sit here with food, heat, light and the dogs having spent the evening discussing my fish(!) with people on FB I wonder what I did to be so fortunate?


He is meeting with gang members (that Reggie bloke is hosting it) They are 18 years old, maybe 20?21 some of them. They have nothing apart from violence and death and revenge.


I know they always have to end it positively which is good (pregnant woman giving birth to a healthy child) but the over riding theme is young men fight and die. such a waste.
