Hi All hope everyone's feeling as well as can be! I've started to have a bit more energy this week, 10+2 today from my dates.
We just had our booking in...starting to feel real now. Scan will be around 3rd October, please keep your fingers crossed it's not the 5th as my partner has an important exam that day!
Midwife was lovely and really put me at ease. Now to wait some more!0 -
Rang the midwife today as still hadn't heard anything about booking in/scan and she said there's been a delay with my admissions number at the hospital and she would sort it. Rang me back half an hour later and said my scan is on Monday (eek!) so she has to do my booking in today! Fortunately I have a very understanding boss who is letting me leave an hour early to see her. She can't do the glucose test so will have to sort that out another time but she'll do the normal blood tests.0

Hi all, please could I join? I am 6 weeks today and so finally plucked up the courage to graduate from the TTC thread where I have been for almost a year. This will be our first baby but second pregnancy as we sadly miscarried in March, and we had been trying for over a year. Baby is due mid May. So far I’ve been lucky with symptoms, only really tiredness and getting palpatations but I’ve read this is normal. We have our first midwife appointment booked for 3rd October. Hope everyone else is doing well, nice to see some familiar names from the TTC Thread0

Chelle I'm so pleased to see you over here! Congrats on the BFP!!
Scan day today, 12 weeks exactly (maybe, I think my dates are out by 3-4 days). Feeling very nervous. A lot of my symptoms have dropped off over the last week, and I'm trying to convince myself this is normal as I'm moving into 2nd trimester but can't stop myself worrying a bit.
Hope everyone else is doing well and not struggling too much with their symptoms0 -
Good luck with your scan today MrsNubs! Mine is this afternoon too and I've barely slept for the last 2 nights, even knowing my 2 early scans were fine doesn't seem to be easing the anxiety!:j PAID VERY, Barclaycard x3, Vanquis, Natwest, O/D, Tesco & MBNA x2 PAID :j LBM 24/07/15 - Original Debt: £0/31010.23 (100% paid)

Scan showed a healthy heartbeat and a very wiggly baby. She's only dated me at 11+3 so it wasn't far enough along for her to do all the screening measurements so going back next Thursday for another scan. Mostly I'm just excited that we get an extra scan. Baby was rolling around and kicking it's legs, so lovely to watch.
Kirsty hope everything goes ok with yours, let us know how you get on0 -
Congrats to chelle22 on your bfp! Must be lovely after such a long journey, try and enjoy it (even though the first trimester might be a bit stressful - remember this is a egg, new sperm, new pregnancy).
And congrats on the scan MrsNubs! Bit jealous you get an extra one if I'm honest! Hope yours went well kirtyspoos too.0 -
Morning ladies.
MrsNubs how lovely that you get a bonus scan
Scan went beautifully, I'm now dated at 13+ 5 today. Baby is perfect.
Mummy is not - I was admitted immediately for severe dehydration and consultant is furious my GP wouldn't prescribe one drug which he told me was too expensive.
I've had 3 bags of fluid and new anti sickness through an IV but no change to the ketones in my wee which are currently plus 3. I've been told they won't be letting me out until they are neutral so fingers crossed they can get all this under control asap.
I'm thrilled to have seen donut doing backflips in there and nuchal fold measurement was fine but consultant told me a tablet my GP had prescribed as safe in pregnancy is not and is in fact toxic to the foetus. I've been up most of the night crying because I'm so worried there's something wrong that they won't be able to see until later.:j PAID VERY, Barclaycard x3, Vanquis, Natwest, O/D, Tesco & MBNA x2 PAID :j LBM 24/07/15 - Original Debt: £0/31010.23 (100% paid)

Kirsty glad that all is well with baby but sorry to hear that you are having such a rough time with the pregnancy. Hope the doctors manage to get you feeling better soon. That’s really rubbish and worrying for you about the tablet that was prescribed safe. You would hope that as the GP prescribed it that any risk will be really small. I know it is easy to say but try to stay positive and try to take comfort from the fact that all is well with the little one now. Are they going to scan you again to make sure?
Thank you everyone for your congratulations. It’s been an anxious couple of weeks but we feel happier now that we are past the 6 week mark. I am a little bit worried about my resting HR which after rising from 57 to 70 since conception has now started to fall to 65 over the past week and is continuing to drop. Just as you shouldn’t I’ve been googling and found mixed opinion. Most say this is normal and the heart compensates for the extra stress on it so HR can decrease again, and I am quite a fit person having run regularly before falling pregnant, so I’m hoping this is it. Others say it can be an early sign of miscarriage. I have no other signs that anything is wrong so trying not to worry. Has anyone else tracked their resting HR in the first trimester?
Today I am off sick from work as I have caught a cold which has just completely knocked me off my feet. Being a teacher it is a pain in the backside having a day off so am trying to get as much rest today and get back to work tomorrow.
Hope everyone else is doing ok x0
