Less than 12 weeks pregnant club! Part 4!!

Yes its on Monday, I should be around 12+1 then. Just want it to be Monday now! I've had 2 reassurance scans so far and both were fine so trying to be positive and hoping all will still be well.

I think its good that they are getting you in early for a scan and it will hopefully put your mind at rest - for a day or two! ;o)

Oh good luck for Monday. Is it in the morning? Try to keep busy during the weekend or take naps to make the time go quicker. Distraction is the key for me. I think my early scan is also partly to date the pregnancy as my cycles were a bit irregular, and with the need to scan at 10 weeks to check the neural tube etc, they need to be as accurate as possible. Originally he'd said I wouldn't have one until 10 weeks. I've been reading online that 7 weeks is the optimum time to date the pregnancy as they can be accurate to within 3-5 days, whereas later (10 weeks on, the accuracy is to within 10 days).

Well my morning sickness finally kicked in this morning which is actually a relief as I'd had it with both my son and Poppy so was worried I'd not had it yet this time.

Mouse glad the sickness has kicked in (feels weird saying that but it is reassuring!). Hope you are coping as best you can with it.

Scan is at 8.50 so at least I won't have long to wait tomorrow! Mega nerves but also allowing myself some excitement.

Thanks Mancmama - I had a terrible day of sickness and headaches etc yesterday, but luckily today I've just felt a bit sick this morning, but haven't actually been sick yet. *touches wood* I shall be thinking of you tomorrow morning. It's a nice early appointment, so hopefully they won't keep you waiting - keeping your bladder full is the hard part too with all the nerves and morning sickness - I always end up having to go for a wee before the scan and then furiously trying to drink water again in between and hoping it fills me up enough in time. Keeping my fingers firmly crossed for you that all is well with your little bean. xx

Just had a call from my EPU - I've got a scan at 9.10am tomorrow. I'm so nervous!

Hi All,

Scan went well! Dated at 12+3 and E.D.D 6th Jan. Was waving, kicking and rolling over, it was amazing.

Mouse that's great about your scan tomorrow, keep that mind distracted as best you can and sending you lots of love and luck Xx
