    Good to hear Tinks!

Tried calling the midwives office to make my booking appointment, only to be rather rudely told that I'd have to get a referral through my gp (contradicting what it says on the local nhs website). And it's a 10 day wait to get a routine appointment with the gp. This is what I get for waiting until my son's at preschool so I can make a phone call in peace!

Big - I rang the GP directly and just asked the receptionist whether I ring up for an appointment on the day or pre-book after explaining I had just found out I was pregnant and she told me to ring up on the day and get one of those appointments. It might be that each practice is different but may be worth ringing up and asking. x

Tinks Congratulations on the good scan. x

Shea - Hope your scan has gone well. Keeping my fingers crossed x

I told the receptionist what it was for and that's all she'd offer me. Last time I saw the gp at 6 weeks and had to wait until 10 weeks to see midwife, so hopefully I'll just have less time to wait between appointments this time.

Hopefully see you on the next board Tinks :D

Ah I'm having the worst day today :( had mega stressful 24 hours dealing with bullying of one of my children, stress up School, family problems, sickness, referendum and feeling like the worst Mum in the world because I forgot to do my youngest's School project with her, and she's the only child in School not to have done it :(

Feeling really teary and emotional today xx

Great news Skea. So pleased it went well.

Hugs for Skintandscared. I hope that school are supportive about the bullying and your little one is happier soon. Xx

I am about 6weeks +4 today according to the calculator I tried online. My consultant called this afternoon and told me that he's going to get another doctor to call me to arrange an early scan hopefully in the next week. I'm really nervous now as it's also my birthday on Friday 1St July and if it's bad news I'm also worried that my birthday will always be a sad time of year. There's no way around it though, and hopefully things will be positive and it will be a happy time instead. I will keep you all updated when I find out the date etc.

mouse I can totally empathise with you on that, but I really feel like it will be ok for you this time. Try and stay positive and know you are doing everything right for now. I know you will never forget what happened but you will have more happy times again in the future.

I am feeling so sick and nervous, worrying about the Brexit and the scan! This is not the board for politics etc but I just wish all this wasn't going on as I'm leading up to a year off work xx

Do you have a date for your scan Mancmama? Sorry if you've said before - I've not read back. Thanks for the reassurance too. Xx
