I would say that continue with whatever gets you through this next few months of nausea lulu - last time when I had morning sickness, I spoke to my doctor about my diet, and she said that as long as I was taking my vitamins and eating fortified cereals, that I should be ok. She said she had a friend who lived on dried apricots and toast for the first trimester. It isn't recommended to try to lose weight when pregnant either unless under medical supervision.

Thanks. My doctor is perfectly happy with me doing Slimming World as it's supported by the Royal College of Midwives. Just struggling to eat anything which I know it bad.

No worries - hope you didn't think I was interfering.
Yes I got quite a lot of lower back pain in the first couple of weeks, but luckily that seems to have subsided. Yoga exercises where you pull your tummy button inwards towards your back are great for strengthening your core, which can help with back pain. It's due to the ligaments all stretching to accommodate the baby I think.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170 -
Are you able to replace the pringles with slimming world chips or anything? I've heard they are meant to be really tasty. I had some oven chips with vinegar on the other night (I'm not usually a chips person, but my son fancied them, so we had them), and the vinegar strangely seemed to help with my heartburn a bit.
Had a call from the midwife whom I'd left a message with the other day about my booking in appointment. She's off sick with an eye infection at the moment, but my details will be passed on to one of her colleagues so hopefully I'll hear soon.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170 -
I'm at the drs tomorrow for my little ones jabs, so I'm going to speak to reception and get my booking in appointment sorted. At least I don't have to hide in the toilets at work and hope no one comes in whilst I'm making the call0

Morning ladies! Hope you are all doing well.
My anxieties are getting the better of me, I won't go into details why so as not to stress anyone else!
Long and the short of it is that I really want to have a reassurance scan. So we have booked in for a private scan at the end of the week. I just hope it is not too early and we aren't told to come back in a few weeks to check again. I just need to hear the heartbeat.
Sorry to drag down the positivity of the thread a little, but I have been stressing so much I needed to spill!Mort at highest - June 2008 - £171,000 - Daily Int 5.9% = £27.64:eek:Offset Mort - Nov 2010 £150,299- Daily Int 3.75% = Nov £15.44Mortgage Jan 2012 - £136,000 - Daily Int 3.75% - £3.100 -
Ah babyb, stressing is totally normal! You shouldn't be too early for a scan - some of the ladies on Glow seem to have them from five weeks onwards  I hope it all goes well and gives you some reassurance. I wouldn't worry about lack of sickness either. I'm 14 weeks tomorrow and have never come close to throwing up and around 20% of women are the same, so it's not unusual.
Lulu, I'm on Slimming World too and try to be mostly good but give into urges when I need to/when it gets too much! Some weeks I gain, some I lose, but I think if you reach the end of the trimester with a net maintain or small loss, you're doing OK0 -
I never really had sickness with my first either. I've rediscovered the joys of knicker twitching and the paranoia has started, but I'm sure I'll soon calm down. Got my booking in appointment 19 Oct, first day of a weeks holiday to easy to hide from work.
This year I've tried sw and we and never got my head into it, very the last two weeks I've lost 7lb because of having a week away and seriously reducing my chocolate intake, I'm just going to try and be healthy, so far it seems easier because I've got the baby to think of0 -
Hope the scan goes well babyb. X
Glad you've got a date Lemon Tree and hope the jabs weren't too traumatic for you both.
Just had a call to say the local midwife is off for an operation so they're sending another one to do my booking in appointment on Monday at 12. So pleased to finally have a date at last, but not sure how I'm going to keep it from my Mum as she's desperate to come over to help with some decorating before some of our friends come over on the 5th from overseas.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170 -
Argh I've just been sick! I am actually kind of happy about this as it never happened last time.
Anyone else who's dealt with sickness, do/did you feel like there was a lump in your throat constantly? Our Rainbow Twins born 17th April 2016

Yes I feel like that constantly lulu. I found some ranitidine that is safe to take in pregnancy and took some of that yesterday and it really helped. Sorry you were sick but know what you mean about being relieved at the same time.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170
