Yes - just called them! They have booked me for a scan on the 27th of Feb. That feels a THOUSAND YEARS away!! I'll call my oncologist, maybe he will see me earlier and indulge my need for medical intervention.0

T2d I'd stick with that date if I were you - won't you be over 7 weeks then? That way you can see the heart beat
if you go too early you might not be able to see it yet & then you'll be in a panic probably for no reason! So happy for you x

Yes, I'll be 8 weeks by then. 8+1 to be precise. I know I should wait, and not seeing the heartbeat would freak me out you are right, so probably a good idea.
I'll just have to keep testing from time to time to keep the anxiety down.
Peonie, do you have a date for a scan?0 -
Can someone explain what the numbers mean? As in 4+1??
Whole new load of lingo to learn!!0 -
As I understand it (and I'm hardly the expert) it's your weeks and days. Based on LMP (last menstral period) of 1/1/2014 I know I'm 4 weeks and 5 days. So 4+5.0

Miss_I sounds like a tough decision, although if you have to tell then you should. I'm sure you family understand that for practical reasons some people need to be told in advance.
I'm totally bursting with the news, but hopefully after a week or so I will calm down, and won't have blurted it out to everyone!!
bluebell Good luck for the scan today.0 -

Just wanted to offer my Congratulations to you T2D. Such wonderful news. Very best of luck:beer::j
Love to see the ladies from the ttc ho helped me get their happy ending:D0 -
All good news
One little blob with a heartbeat! They even gave me a scan pic, not that you can see very much.
I thought I was 8+2 but they said around 7+6. Apparently below 8 weeks it gets hard to date, which is probably why they are waiting until you are 8 weeks T2D.0 -
Thank you for everyones wishes, hope everyone is well.
Well had my scan today at the epu and we have one very very active baby. I've learnt that it doesn't like been prodded on lol. When they pressed my belly yesterday it fought back I felt like I had been beaten up and today it did not like being scanned.
It wriggled so much that they couldn't measure it so I still have my proper scan on wednesday although she did warn it may be the same again as it won't keep still! They were at it ages as they can't work out what a line is in/on the sac so OH got a good look.
Also found out that I am A- blood (anit-d) so had to have a shot for it.
So anyone bleeding dont always assume the worst as I have had some pretty serious bleeding that they still don't know where it's from.
Heres my scan she did appolgise for the quality as this was the only one she could get and it turned over straight after this.0 -
Thank you for the lovely welcome.
A bit of info about me. In mid-2012 I had a MC at 10 weeks after a year and a half of trying. Fast forward to now and I've just had IVF to get this little one. So I'm a bit nervous about reaching 12 weeks.
Early in the last pregnancy and during IVF this time my boobs grew huge early on so I already do not fit my normal bras. Last time I was advised by the fitters to get soft bras and as I already have them I might as well use them. Including ones to wear at night as they are too sore to not wear anything. As of yesterday they also have visible veins.
My sleeping patterns have changed. I'm waking up in the middle of the night for hours. I also can't shift a simple coughing cold. I read somewhere my immune system has been lowered so it does not attack the embryo.
Because of my job I'll have to tell my bosses and HR. They already know about the IVF so it's impossible anyway not to tell them. I'll try not tell the rest of them.
T2D, I started the stimming drugs on the 1/1 and LMP was the 29/12. The calculator you linked to is really good. Based on the EC date I'm also due to 8/10 and my scan is on the 20th Feb. WTDN, when is your scan?

I feel for you that are bleeding and I understand how scary it is. Last time I started light spotting at 5 or 6 weeks, had a scan and got to see our 'blob', had a follow-up scan at 8 weeks and saw the heartbeat which was lovely. The spotting was due to a bruise in my uterus. I don't think there was a link between the spotting and the MC. For me it was just not meant to be. Others have gone on to have healthy pregnancies.
