Oh skaps, so sorry to hear that
Take care of yourself.0 -
Sorry to hear that Skaps, did the blood results come back?
Had a private early scan last weekend, we saw a heartbeat but the sonographer thought I was about 10 days behind what I thought, possibly explained by my random cycles. So while I think I am 9 weeks today the scan thinks I'm closer to 7.5, as if early pregnancy wasn't stressful and long enough! My BFP was nearly 4 weeks ago, and there's still ages to go.
I can't bring myself to tell anyone about this pregnancy, I just don't have a good feeling about it having a positive outcome, with my last baby our close family knew very early on. I keep doing HPT's, but I still can't get it into my head. Time is dragging!0 -
How are you doing skaps?
Things aren't great here, fairly certain I mc over the weekend, but the earliest I can have a scan is Wed so in limbo until then.
I did a HPT this morning though and although it was positive it was really feint so I think that probably tells me everything I need to know.
Back to the TTC boards it is0 -

Congrats AmyTurtle and Mrshaworth2b!
Thinking of you today jenni_fer.
Mrshaworth2b - I went to a local place called ScanAssure which cost £65, if you google early pregnancy scan and your local town(s) you should find somewhere, there are also the national companies like BabyBond x0 -
Congrats and welcome AmyTurtle and Mrshaworth2b!
Total shock here tonight, had my scan today and there was baby, heartbeat and all!
Dated at about 8 weeks so right where I thought.
Can't quite get my head round it, I was so certain we'd lost it. Amazing news though0 -
Oh I'm so happy for you Jennifer!! What wonderful news xx
Congratulations Amyturtle and mrshaworth2b too
We've booked a private scan mrshaworth2b, went with Babybond. It's booked for next Wednesday - bit terrified they're not going to find anything despite all my symptoms!0 -
Lots more blood now. Pretty sure it is back to square one again. Feel so gutted, even though i was trying not to get my hopes up.
After bleeding heavily for 6 days and assuming I'd had a miscarriage, I reported it to the doctor a week later, who then did another pregnancy test.
It tested positive, so I was sent for a scan at the hospital a couple of days later, which showed an empty sac.
I then went back a week later, expecting an empty sac again and another missed miscarriage, but they found a heartbeat and it had grown. OMG!
But... it was measuring only 5+3, rather that 7+2. I know ultrasounds aren't 100% accurate with dates, but the foreign doctor kept just repeating that I must have my dates wrong. I'm sure they are not.
I then made the mistake of going onto Google and looking for info about measuring small in early pregnancy, and found mostly grim stories of people going on to miscarry weeks later.
I now just feel in limbo, like it is all going to go wrong again! I had some spotting (brown) the day after the scan and today (just small amounts), but I think brown blood is ok as that's old blood.
ARGH. Why can't I just have a normal body that does normal pregnancy things!!
As far as the hospital is concerned, they are treating it as a viable pregnancy, just two weeks earlier than I thought, so won't give me another scan until 12 to 14 weeks (based on new date).
Am trying to stay optimistic, but finding it really hard.
Anyone have any cheerful tales for me????Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0
