Hey everyone, so went to EPU today - did a scan, have a 'cystic structure' in the uterus, which hopefully will become a baby but said cant rule out an ectopic this early. So had blood test today, another one on friday and if they are ok there will rescan in 2 wks......going to be on edge for the next two weeks!!
good luck to everyone else and those getting baby bumps :)
  • Fingers crossed everything is fine hippihaz. 2 weeks what a wait.

It's so hot here today, unbelievable that it's October. Goes against us early bumps as we need to hide them with jumpers!

    Fingers crossed for you Hippi!
  • aw, huge hugs hippi. Waiting is the worst - it all goes so slowly. (sorry, not being very encouraging am I?!) Hope you manage to cope with it all and find some restful/relaxing activities to take your mind off things.
I'm loving being in the bath so having one most nights! I put on a CD and sing loudly!!! For some reason, tummy doesn't feel uncomfortable at all in the bath!!

  • Hi all, finally today was scan day :) All was great, baby was wriggling around so much it was amazing to see, the only problem was that baby didn't co-operate in laying flat on its back so the nuchal fold could be measured. Instead, baby was sitting bolt upright with its legs crossed, and then actually turned completely and put its back to us! I think it must be a boy as its already being naughty and mischievous :p After nearly half hour of me wriggling, jumping and bouncing around trying to get baby to shift, it was just too comfortable and so we didn't get the test done. I wasn't that disappointed though because hubby and I always said that even if we did show as high risk, we wouldn't test any further as to us it doesn't matter, although the sonographer said they can screen for Down's by blood test so I'll speak to my midwife about that when I see her next week.

So I am now officially loving you and leaving you to join the big girls on the other thread. I wish all of you happy and healthy pregnancies and I hope to see you on the other side soon :):):)

Hugs to you hippi - I've got my fingers crossed for you that everything is ok. And just when you thought you were over the two week wait! I'll be checking back to see how you get on x
  • Morning! How is everyone today. Good luck x-missymoo-x, hope to see you on the other thread soon.

I will be 6 weeks tomorrow and no sickness as yet, which has me a little worried (that's a lie, I am terrified actually). My boobs are really sore though, and hurt when I walk, go up/down stairs and sleep.

OH and i have been on a bit of a health kick for a couple of months. We have cut out alcohol, are eating a bit better and have been to the gym/swim 3-4 days a week. We weighed ourselves yesterday as we said we would wait a month before doing so. He has lost over half a stone, but I have put on 4 pounds! How is this possible. I am hoping its mainly water retention as I didn't think I could put that much on this early on. I am not feeling sick, so am not eating more because of this. I have a high BMI anyway so I am worried I am going to totally balloon out.

Has anyone else noticed they put weight on a little earlier than they expected?

Glad your scan went well missy so lovely to see the baby wriggling away.

Don't worry about the sickness Devildolly some lucky ladies don't get it at all. My Mum never did with me and my sister and i only really gag a bit in the mornings (same as with my dd) but haven't really suffered with it... so far.
  • I had put a couple of pounds on around week 6 of preg but I am eating more and more unhealthy foods than usually.

  • Morning ladies.

I had a small amount of brown bleeding this morning when I woke up. I don't have any pain, so I am not totally freaking out yet, but it is really scary. Spoke to the doctor already who booked me in for an appointment later this morning. She said is may just be implantation bleeding coming out and was really reassuring so I am just trying to relax as much as I can.

My lack of symptoms has me a little concerned too, especially when everyone keeps telling you m/s is a sign of a healthy pregnancy. I will talk to the docs about this. Maybe they can do some blood tests to check my HcG and progesterone levels to reassure me all is well.

Really want this one to stick. Not much I can do but wait I guess.
