Hi LA
I have AF style cramps too, they are much worse when I'm lying down. I'm 7+1 and I still have them. Everything I've read on the internet suggests they're normal and just your uterus stretching, I hope that's true.0 -
I had cramps for a few weeks. Midwife told me all normal. I also had spotting but after two scans all is fine xx0

Yay huge congrats love actually!
As angeltreats said af type cramps are perfectly normal if a little nerve wracking I had them off and on for the first trimester and some quite sharp ligament pains too so it's nothing to worry about x0 -
Welcome and huge congratulations Loveactually! What a lovely Christmas pressie baby will be for you both!
Cramping is normal as everyone has said. Call your clinic and book your scan, but I would also call your GP now too to get you in the system. I didn't and now I'm 10 weeks and don't even have a date for my 12 week scan yet, so I suspect it will be around 14 weeksSo get in there now, so you get an app in time!
Eekk to being at the top Monty! I'm right behind you so feel free to hang around for as long as you want to0 -
Not having a great time our minds are a very dangerous thing.... Just need to get this scan done and deal with things... I am praying that all is well but have been here too many times .....
All prayers and PMA welcome xxIf you can think it........it will happen0 -

Welcome loveactually I had period-type cramps for most of my first pregnancy and it used to worry me to death but all was fineI had an early scan at 6+2 last time, I didn't get to hear the heartbeat but we saw the heart flickering away on the screen.
tinkwings will be keeping fingers and toes crossed for you.
AFM, seems yesterday my symptoms have hit me like a ton of bricks. I was feeling ok mainly but the fatigue and sickness has hit me. Last night I was asleep by 8pm and at baby group this morning I felt so nauseous. Definitely not complaining though, I'm happy as hopefully it's a good sign.
Trying to live a good life on little money :T0 -

just popping back in to say you probably won't hear the heartbeat that time, but you should see the little heart beating. We didn't hear the heartbeat until week 15. good luck!0 -
Whoever was asking about cramps : I had AF-like cramps for around 2 weeks after i got my BFP. Never had any bleeding and all the mums i spoke to said it was completely normal. Felt very strange though feeling like AF was on her way the whole time !

Ok so today I've really cheered myself up. I was in a tesco super store looking at some mamas and papas cot bedding and bumper set, and I know these cost around £50-£80 in M&P but the shelf label said £4.50! I took it to the till and it came up at £50 but I argued it says £4.50 and they let me buy it at £4.50!!!!!
Also they were having a sale so I got a lollipop lane pumpkin and Popsicle embroidered fleece blanket for £4, matching cot mobile for £3.97, a Chico little soft lamb with a light up heart on its tummy that plays lullabys for £3.97 and an angel care baby monitor with video, night vision, temperature control, two way voice, sound, movement and all other bits on it reduced from £169.99 to £42.
I'm very pleased with myself0
