Good morning :) I've been working stupid long hours and on my feet all day, I've been getting home and going straight to bed!

I've not bought anything yet but I too looked at that mothercare pram but I was worried how big the carrycot is as I drive a fiesta so not the biggest boot space, I wondered if I should get a from birth pushchair instead?

I'm having my booking in appt tomorrow, I'm finding it hard to get appointments as my boss doesn't give us our rota until the fri/sat before and yesterday she changed my day off to Friday and I almost had a meltdown and had to lie why I needed Monday off. I got it sorted but god knows how I'll fit the next scan in without telling her!

My sickness has eased, I've still not much of an appetite but I am eating. I've lost almost a stone but I'm eating much better now.

I'm hoping to work 3 days after my mat leave but I'm not sure my boss will go for it but I will ask my area manager if they can accommodate me elsewhere in the business. That's why I'm not telling them yet, I'm only 8 weeks into new job and want to prove myself worth keeping! If not I'll resign and look for something else. I never thought I'd be a mummy and I'm not having someone else raise my baby full time. It will mean a few lifestyle changes but so worth it :)

    Is anyone showing yet!?

If it's the joie chrome one you mean then the pushchair part of it is also 'from birth' as it lies totally flat and has the newborn liner in. That's what I was told. I think i could fit the chasis and carrycot in my clio boot if that's any help. Don't think much else would fit without some serious jigsaw packing though.

Weighed myself this morning. Since booking in appointment I've lost a pound. I know it's only a pound but now my brain has gone on a big paranoid trip- what if pg is over type thoughts. Stupid really. I'm about two stone overweight so it's not like I need to gain weight but my diet has been atrocious- if it's been bad for me then i've ate it so losing weight makes absolutely no sense. Gah. Stupid thoughts! Seeing consultant on wed so hoping we'll hear a heartbeat or have a sneaky scan to reassure.

I'm not showing that anyone would notice yet monty. I can feel where my womb has come above pelvis (there's a ridge) and my boobs are bigger but there's no very noticeable signs yet. I tried a pair of pre-preg jeans on yesterday and they still fit me which shocked me- mainly because i've been wearing stretchy things due to early bloating. :)
  • Up till this week I would have said no. Since the end of this week, I can't now tell what's bloating and what may be uterus shifting around. I still fit in all my clothes.

Monty-doggy. i had a very similar week Monday at Thursday. luckily I had Friday off. However we've been moving furniture today and it has wiped me out.

At my booking in appointment at end of Feb I'd put on about 5lbs since the New Year (approx 2 months). Which is nearly 1/2 stone.

    Goood luck on Wednesday tcod

I put on best part of a stone during IVF, so my weight is a source of worry to me. I am too scared to weight myself. I know I shouldn't really worry, but I can't help being terrified of putting on masses of weight!! I wore my jeans yesterday, but I think that will be the last time for a while, definitely getting tight.

TCOD, what week are you on? I'm 11+5 so maybe I will lie down and see if I can feel anything rising above my pelvis. I also bought a doppler and had no luck 10 days ago so I'll give that another go too. I've had a new round of stretching pains today so maybe my uterus is on the move!

I can't believe some of you are already buying things!! I'm not even thinking about it yet, maybe around 20-24 weeks we will allow ourselves to really believe. I'm getting the Harmony test results on Thursday, and I'm incredibly worried about it. In fact, in general, I'm going through a phase of worrying about everything, and thinking how I'm going to cope if they go wrong.

Hope everyone is going well. I read all the time although I don't post so much.
  • I'm 15+1 today. I'm a full size 16- there's no way I can squeeze into a 14 if that helps. At first I could only feel the ridge lying down (damn you jaffa cakes) but now i can see it when i stand up. I've been thinking about buying a doppler- anyone have any recommendations? I can't afford an expensive one so was hoping for less than £30 if they exist! :)

Think my paranoia has returned as symptoms have gone, i don't look pregnant yet ( i know it's too early really!) but i've gone and bought stuff- feels like i've cursed myself. Lol.

Is your 12 wk scan this week then? Good luck with the harmony results. xx

lol I know i'll look fatter, but keep in my head that I should never look as fat as I was before.
I'm the same weight as I was at the start of this year, and am hoping that I don't gain too much during my pregnancy, I'm hoping to start with that any extra required for my tummy will be sucked off my legs and redistributed lol probably won't happen but a girl can hope.

Haha I'm hoping the benefit of a possible c section might be a tightly stitched tummy with a mini tummy tuck effect lol! I'm 5ft 8 and size 18. I carry it well but I wish I was back to a 14 I was my happiest then. I'd started to diet after Xmas but I'm not dieting now, just eating as well as I can. I know someone who looked pregnant from about 8 weeks and used to force her belly out to look like a bump! Crazy!
