    hi all

im now worrying as only had one episode today of bad tum and no other signs/symptoms.... :-(

hope everyone is having a good day x

I had backache and strange tummy pains, not like the stretching pains, and immediately I'm thinking bad thoughts. Gone now! This stress is never ending.

I have a scan tomorrow as step 1 of the harmony testing and maybe I'm worrying as that gets closer. I still think they will say 'oh, there's nothing there', despite having already had two scans!

Hi ladies, hope everyone is OK

I called the midwife today about spotting after DTD with hubby and she said not to worry, it's quite normal and it's perfectly safe to carry on. Just wanted to to let you know in case anyone else has been experiencing this.

I am working from home today so catching up on OBEM!

Good days, bad days. Trying not be too graphic but remember there's only so much that can come out - maybe you're empty!

lollypopswater - boo to the spotting but glad it's not serious. Double boo to a dry all inclusive.

Hope everything went will today daisiegg. Fair to say we're all keen to hear how it went.

Ah t2d does that feeling not go away after scans? I am more convinced now due to symptoms/no period since 6th Jan but there is still part of me feeling like a fraud. 19 sleeps till my scan, 19 sleeps to go :T

Ahh thanks everyone for asking after me. Love this thread!

Well, after all my woes last night it all was fine :D

The lesson went really well - I got an 'outstanding', which is the best you can get and is supposedly quite tough to get under the new Ofsted framework. So I was thrilled. The observers were really positive and did not have a bad thing to say.

As for the meeting with the head about absences - it was all a load of worry over nothing! Turned out it had been automatically generated, and she just said 'is the illness pregnancy related?' and I said yes and she said that in that case, we don't need to do a meeting. We chatted a bit (I had my head of department with me who is a good friend and very supportive) and she was sympathetic, said she appreciated me coming in as much as I can and she understands if I need to be in and out a bit over the next couple of weeks, and she will make sure I don't get called for another of these meetings.

I am SO relieved. I was in such a state last night worrying about it. Have felt physically awful all day but just so glad it is all over and it was all ok. Also feel a bit of pressure off knowing that it is 'ok' if I have to be off a couple more times. I will be 11 weeks on Friday so really hoping I don't have much longer left of feeling rubbish.

Hope everyone else is doing well! t2d good luck with the scan tomorrow. I must admit, I know you have much more reason to worry overall than I do, but after having our 8 week scan I really feel much more relaxed. I know there is still a chance things can go wrong but it is good to know it is a much smaller chance than if I had not seen a heartbeat at 8 weeks.

Sorry can't remember who it was but whoever was worried about lack of symptoms...I know it doesn't help the worry but it really is normal. It is normal for them to come and go (does anyone remember me in a ridiculous state the couple of days before my scan as my symptoms had disappeared and I was convinced it would be bad news?!) and it is also normal to get very few symptoms. A few ladies at work say they didn't have any symptoms with their healthy pregnancies.

glad it all went well Daisy.

The only symptom I'm suffering from is still tiredness, ended up having two naps on each of Saturday and sunday and all I did was go for a cuppa with my sister on Sat and take the dog for a nice walk sunday, feeling ancient and ridiculous! can't wait for the stage where my energy comes back.
Feels like I've been waiting ages for my 12 week scan but only have to wait for Tuesday now. though I'm worried they'll find nothing (though they found something at 7 weeks) I'm more worried about telling my manager the next day that i'll be heading off on maternity leave later this year. Only real downside of this baby is that we had to cancel our holiday, I was really really looking forward to it, and we'd only booked it a couple of weeks before getting pregnant, but logically I know the money is best spent covering my shortfall in pay whilst on maternity leave.
Oh and I really must start moisturising, uncovered my arms at work today (unusual as I never take my cardi off) and noticed now dry my skin was.
  • Bring on Tuesday Lemon Tree!

Starting to feel like the only one not to have had any scan yet!

Sorry to hear about your holiday. Luckily the only thing I had booked is Barcelona with a friend at the end of April so can still make that.

Actually at this stage I'm just being a drama queen. There is no more risk to me than anyone else until sometime in the second trimester, and by then I will have my new bionic cervix in place!

If I didn't have the scan to worry about, I probably wouldn't worry so much!

I do think that symptoms come and go. Early on the major symptom was fatigue, and now I seem to have added regular (as opposed to occasional) massive boobs, and mild nausea at some stage each day. Nothing major, but enough to know it is there. Plus I think I'm getting fat(er)... [STRIKE]Which I'm sure is nothing to do with the endless toast and icecream I am eating[/STRIKE]
