  • Congratulations TeamLowe! Quite the surprise team switch! You now have me hoping the same won't happen to us as everything is definitely for a girl (pink clothes, pink room) although if the shock did come at least the furniture, travel system and most of the bedding is OK for either!

Very happy to be having the 3d scan next month though as added confirmation (because obviously the early tendering and 20wk scan aren't enough hahaha!)

I seem to still have a snuffle so will be trying a relaxing bath before bed with the vapouriser on! Bf heads off again after lunch for this weeks camp - strange him going on a Sunday rather than a Monday.

Mw appt went well on Friday, bf surprised me by meeting me there but will definitely miss the next one as he'll be in Canada. We met another midwife but apparently she's ours now for the remaining and I'll be seeing her just about every two weeks. She took my blood and said she'd give me my whooping cough vaccine next appointment as that's her preference. I definitely prefer this one as she's so organised :-) so I was a bit shock that we'd get her for the foreseeable.

Bf said she measured my bump but I don't recall that haha, baby was head down and her heartbeat was easy to find as always :-) pretty much all fine and dandy.

Tasks for this week: find the address for where the antenatal classes are and hospital bag supplies purchasing.

On a non baby front one of my charms on my Pandora bracelet has broken :'( I would be slightly less bothered if I hadn't already had it replaced once! Grrr and bf was heartbroken last time when I told him it had happened so haven't told him yet but have emailed a local stockist to see if they can help and if not it will mean trekking to Sheffield to get it sorted again. An expense I didn't want as I'm already cutting it fine with my money as we got paid early in December but the boss has decided not to move January's pay to level it off grrr!

    Congratulations TL!

Slightly surprised you had a boy, think you've got lots of us worried now!

Lol sent me into a slight panic and searching 4d scans in the next few weeks! I finally agreed to purchasing some pink outfits yesterday (I am totally not girly) and am now considering taking them back. Funny how hearing things like that completely throw you, I blame the hormones! :o

The worst thing is I wouldn't be worried either way what sex the baby was, but have this irrational fear that the baby may be somehow damaged by being called a girls name for the past 8 weeks when she's really a he :rotfl:
  • :beer:Congratulations TL

So very happy for you to get your 'surprise' happy ending at last. Sounds like you little man is going to being keeping you and Mr Lowe on your toes with lots of surprises:rotfl: Surprise boy bits, surprise early labour:rotfl:

I was just joking with my OH yesterday as we were painting the babys room blue that he might surprise us and be a girl. Luckily we are having and aquarium themed nursery so it would still do for a girl. About 90% of the clothes we have bought are gender neutral as we are hoping for a second baby at some point and want to reuse as much stuff as possible. :money:

Good Luck to your Mrs TL - Wishing you and your new family all the luck and joy in the world:dance:

Congratulations TeamLowe! Little Thomas is a fab weight as well despite his early arrival - seems you have a mischievous one there ;)

Good luck to all the other ladies waiting on imminent arrivals too!

Congratulations Teamlowe, my jaw dropped reading a boys name, I cannot imagine how surprised you and your hubby must have been! Was it a scramble to think of a boys name or did you have a few ideas? x
