The enormous bottle of tresemme shampoo is finally a goner! Never again will I buy such a huge bottle no matter how cheap it is
I've been there with the Tresemme with matching Shampoo and Conditioner too, it took me more than two years to get rid but a lesson learned and I wince every time I see those 1000ml Salon Size Shampoos and stuff on offer. OMG never again!Mortgage

I am not really sure what is going on with it, does anyone think the colour I have on it could be responsible, last August I had a full head of non bleach highlights and had the roots done this month?
I've never heard of anyone going curly from a colour though.
That's an odd one! TBH, I would have thought that if colouring your hair would've done anything, it might have made it less curly as any chemical process on the hair will cause some damage and that makes curls looser, on the whole.
My hair isn't that curly at the roots, the real ringlets start about 2 inches down. I wonder if you're only just seeing yours because of the extra length?
I have used UG Flirty Curls in the past and quite liked it, although IIRC it left my hair slightly sticky. I prefer Boots Essentials Gel, the purple stuff in the big pot, it's only about a quid and gives a good hold without feeling too 'producty'. I also tried the Superdrug own brand gel (in a big blue tube) and OMG  it was like glue! I could literally stick my hands together with the product residue after I had applied it. 'Orrible stuff. One small word of warning, when choosing curly styling products; if 'alcohol denat' at at or near the top of the ingredients lists, it'll probably dry your hair out. UG do a Natural Curls Styling Spray too and I had to use a deep conditioner three washes on the trot after I'd been using it for a while. YMMV, but a cautionary tale nonetheless.
UU #12: Boots Baby Extra Large Cotton Wool Pads; WDBA, they are about the same price as the smaller oval pads but one is enough to take all my makeup off with micellar solution. Not too fluffy, in a good way, I really liked these. Will repurchase after I have used up the other (different) pads I have stashed.0 -
I have a spluttering M&S Pure Radiance Hot Cloth Face Cleanser 200ml - this one has been hanging around and in daily use for what seems like months, I was desperate to see it gone at one point as I have others I am keen to start on but now it's near the end I will be sad to see it gone. There's loads left that I can't get at without breaking open the pump bottle that I was hoping to save and reuse. In the spirit of good old MSE I have put a bit of boiling water in and given it a good shake about to try and loosen it a little and presently have the bottle standing in a jug of boiling water hoping it will help slide some more product to the bottom.
Can you not just top up with another face cleanser. I have a pump bottle I put shower gel in and when it gets a bit difficult to get the bit out the bottom retop up with another shower gel which then gives me what's left at the bottom I couldn't get before. Not sure if your intention was to use it for another face cleanser so may not be a good idea after all.Did owe £9,951.96

Hi everyone! Have a few UU's to report:
Lush Volcano Foot scrub - I love this stuff, it really pampers my feet a treat. However I will now resort to my beloved TBS Peppermint foot scrub which I might love just a tad more. WBA but it's a treat product, so we'll have to see what's happening with the feet when summer rolls around and if I have enough money left in the toiletries fund to warrant the purchase.
Lush Ro's Body Conditioner - WNBA, this came in a gift I got at Christmas and I wasn't really impressed. It didn't moisturise my skin enough but that might be because I had to towel myself off quite vigorously as I hated the feeling of it on my skin. It's marketed as a conditioner for the skin so you apply in the shower and then rinse off but it left me with an oily, tacky feeling that I really didn't like. Think I'll stick to my butters and lotions thank you very much!
Simple Wipes - WNBA, I bought these for some reason a long time ago, and even though they're alright, they don't compare to a proper cleanse with an oil to get all my makeup off.
Hope you're all doing well, I'm off back to my spreadsheets now.Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170 -
Was away visiting my dad and his partner at the weekend so have some late Christmas present toiletry related presents. Not sure exactly what the set contained but it was a Baylis & Harding set and from what I remember looking at it comes with soap, body lotion, shower gel or bubble bath and maybe a couple of other things.
On the plus side though I am going to declare two UUs, although I probably shouldn't mention them until the bottles are at least in the bin but anyway. The first is a shower gel. As I decant this into a pump bottle, there was a bit left in the bottom that wouldn't come out so have put another shower gel in the pump so will be using up the last of the old one that was in there but as I now have an empty shower gel bottle I'm declaring this a UU. The other is my conditioner that spluttered this morning. If I wash my hair tomorrow I'll see if I get anymore out otherwise that one is definitely a UU. The only problem with the conditioner I'm using at the moment is that I don't seem to be able to get the top off so don't know if there is any conditioner I can scrape out. Not going to worry about it too much as although I have a few conditioners in my stash it's not a big deal with buying them when not necessary.
Sorry for the waffle.Did owe £9,951.96

If posts start appearing from me saying I've got my stash under control and only have one of everything then you'll know my account has been hacked! :rotfl:
I don't know. Just seems a bit weird that nobody at MSE Towers has replied to me re: the problem. I suppose if I can log on via Facebook I shouldn't complain!Morning all!
ENABLING POST!!

I have just purchased Victoria but I will ebay this one!
Wish I hadn't looked. Gorgeous colours. I own Victoria already as well. Got it as a mag freebie years ago. Must not look tomorrow! I tried to convince myself yesterday that I need to finish my PP list before buying anything. The products left on my PP list now are :-
Philosophy Pumpkin Pie shower gel - I have used quite large quantities of this over the last couple of days by running it into my bath.
Origins eye cream - this is only a very small tube and when I used it this morning it made that pht sound which means it needs to be cut open soon.
Mark Hill Straightening spray - this is a real LHJ. Felt light last week and the week before. Feels lighter now but seems to never empty.I agree Kiwisaver and Dolly you both make very good points about younger girls and beauty youtubers being like more accessible celebrities.
My 15 year old daughter is always referring to YouTubers and when she and her friends went to the light switch on at Manchester saw one and followed him in the hope that they'd see other celebrities. It's very sad that we now live in a Society where anyone is worth 15 minutes of fame.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

S&G Breakfast scrub
WIBA? Yes my HG scrub and I have no others in my stash, so I'll need to buy one again soon. Going to try and wait a couple of weeks though as would love to have no INs for Jan.
I've made my own body scrub before now with granulated coffee and Baby oil. Is very scrubby. Might be worth a go if you want to wait until Feb to replace yours.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. ...and when I used it this morning it made that pht sound...
:rotfl:I have no idea why that's amused me so much but I am creased with laughter :rotfl:Brilliant description!
I have an hour before DS1 gets home from school and we have to collect DS2, so I'm off for a "big" shower (wash my hair AND shave all the body bits that shouldn't be hairy) and I will definitely have some more UUs to post.
I am finding this all rather addictive, is that normal?!0 -
I finally have some uu's to report
Neals Yard bee lovely handcream - wnba, this was a magazine freebie. I found it too greasy for a handcream but I did like the scent.
Lancome Hydrazen face cream - wnba, this was a gwp and although nice it wasn't good enough to make me buy it in the full size.VSP member #250 -
UU #13: Kerastase Bain Volumifique Shampoo 10ml
UU #14: Kerastase Lait Vital Conditioner 10ml
Samples from the hairdresser, hair feels clean enough but was very tangled after shampooing and the conditioner is nowhere near moisturising enough for me. Will not be buying.
UU#15: Garnier Fructis Strength & Shine Conditioner 250ml; WBA, I use this as a leave-in, silicone-free and I can get it from Poundland so :money:I have two other varities from Fructis stashed so I won't be buying anytime soon.
UU #16: Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation 30ml, 100 Ivory; WNBA, it feels lovely to apply and smells nice but doesn't give quite enough coverage for me and tends to settle in my pores and slides about a bit after a few hours. I also suspect that the 'dewy' finish is better suited to more youthful skins than my own.
UU #17: Dove Original Beauty Bar 100g; WDBA, this is a shower staple for me; I use 'nice' shower products almost all over but have to be careful in certain places as I can get irritated. I am being as vague as I can be, but I hope it's not TMI! One more in stash.
That was a very productive shower!0
