  • I would like to join this if that's ok. :) It would take me the rest of the month to list my currently owned products and make-up, and probably just depress me, so I'm just going to list the things I've used up.

    So far:

Origins Calm To Your Senses Vanilla and Lavender Body Souffle, 200ml. Not sure if I would buy again. I liked the scent to start with, then started to find the vanilla too sickly, then recently started using it again to use it up and found I quite liked it! It did moisturise well and the scent lasted, but it left a slightly tacky feeling on my skin.

B Never Too Busy To Be Beautiful Snow Scrub. The scent was nice - coconut, almond and vanilla, and it was a half decent exfoliator but definitely not the best I've ever used. Couldn't buy it again if I wanted to as the company closed down ages ago!

    Welcome Misty Blue.

FizzWhizz - thanks for the advice about curls, I will check the alcohol content before I buy anything. My roots are straighter than the rest of my hair but I have had mid length hair many times in the past and whilst it's never been poker straight it was always straight. Last night I woke up during the night and thought I might cry about it (pathetic I know) it's just bothering me.

DD is really jealous of the curls, she has gorgeous waist length hair so last night we did cocoon curls and left them in overnight, this morning she had a head full of spirals, it looked great, just picked her up from school and they have dropped but it still looks good.

:grouphug: It's not pathetic! Your hair is doing something different to what you know and expect, and if you would rather it had stayed straight I'm not surprised if you feel a bit "betrayed" by it. There are undoubtedly products and techniques which could help your hair stay straighter for longer, if that's what you'd prefer, or enhance your curls so you feel more confident with them. Just allow yourself a period of readjustment and don't do anything rash involving salons and scissors! :)

:rotfl:I have no idea why that's amused me so much but I am creased with laughter :rotfl:Brilliant description!

I have an hour before DS1 gets home from school and we have to collect DS2, so I'm off for a "big" shower (wash my hair AND shave all the body bits that shouldn't be hairy ;)) and I will definitely have some more UUs to post.

I am finding this all rather addictive, is that normal?!

I think the pht equates to spluttering. Glad it amused you.

I also laughed at your post cos it got me wondering whether you meant that the shower and shave took you an hour! :rotfl:

Well Id been lurking for the last wee while as I had finally got the stash tamed and firmly under control, when the Daughter who left and started the whole thing has returned home.............. two and a half years later, and Im back to square one:eek:

She has brought home an entire Boots, and whats worse she has gone back to "borrowing" all my good make up that I treated myself to as only I would be using it... pah

Still it is lovely to have her back, I did miss her

    some UUs to report.

The enormous bottle of tresemme shampoo is finally a goner! Never again will I buy such a huge bottle no matter how cheap it is ;) !

I feel your pain. I had a never ending bottle of Tresemme once and have never bought it since. I am presently using shampoo and conditioner from the pound shop, which also comes in big bottles. It's nice enough but I'm thoroughly bored with it and can't justify buying anything new - only 11 days to go and I'll have had a 'dry' January! :A

Hi everyone! Have a few UU's to report:

Lush Volcano Foot scrub - I love this stuff, it really pampers my feet a treat. However I will now resort to my beloved TBS Peppermint foot scrub which I might love just a tad more. WBA but it's a treat product, so we'll have to see what's happening with the feet when summer rolls around and if I have enough money left in the toiletries fund to warrant the purchase.

Lush Ro's Body Conditioner - WNBA, this came in a gift I got at Christmas and I wasn't really impressed. It didn't moisturise my skin enough but that might be because I had to towel myself off quite vigorously as I hated the feeling of it on my skin. It's marketed as a conditioner for the skin so you apply in the shower and then rinse off but it left me with an oily, tacky feeling that I really didn't like. Think I'll stick to my butters and lotions thank you very much!
I've got some Volcano but haven't used it. I've always thought it would just be too messy - which begs the question of why I bought it in the first place! I've had it forever so don't know if it will have gone off. I thought it was more of a mask than a scrub - unless I'm talking about a totally different product.

I used a Nivea sample of 'body conditioner' today and also found it left my skin feeling sticky. I can't see that it's any quicker than just using 'normal' body lotion either.
