Mooloo, this is a good thing and a natural thing for a man of 21 to leave home. He needs to be somewhere where the dynamic is different and more will be expected of him. I can't see her partner putting up with his laziness. He may be able to teach him a bit more about being a man, not a boy.
Think you have misunderstood DS is moving in with the twins I thought0 -

No, he's moving in with his older (Biggest of Mooloo) sister.“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -
DS has lived loosely speaking at both
Twins places but this time it is biggest as in my eldest daughter. She is named biggest of Mooloos as that is her log on name here on MSE
I love my son very much and nothing will change that but he needs his wings. and I need. To look after DGDWhen I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -

Good for Biggest Mooloo! I think that she will have a firmer hand on your DS than you have had, Mooloo - she knows that you are too soft on him, and she is not going to put up with any nonsense from him!
And this time .....no open door for him at yours!
Be firm - just as Biggest will be! He has to learn.
And - enjoy looking after both GDDs - GDD no 1 is growing up and will be able to help play with GDD 20 -
yesterday went by in a blur! time flys. dGD1 had a little film party at one of her friends yesterday afternoon, I stayed and helped the Mum keep an eye.
I had to raise my voice a few times though.
This morning has been general tidying, washing, sorting etc. Lunch time. Then this afternoon BF is coming over.
it's good to see the Sun this morning. sat on my swing seat eating my breakfast even! Although the clouds have come rolling in now. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
feeling rather flat as DS packed his stuff and left to go to his sisters today.
saddened that he had to go but also relieved that my house and gardens can now be reclaimed and that when I come home I won't be finding lots of kids around, or smells I should not be smelling.
Have struggled with the darkness and not actually managed to achieve anything today.
BF stopped for lunch and left a little while ago.
I can't seem to get warm so the heating is on. I've drunk copious amounts of tea, and been rather inactive today. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
It's natural to feel a bit down/flat with DS going Mooloo. Just remind yourself that it is natural for a 21yr old man to not live at home with his mother and this move to his oldest sisters could be just what he needs right now.
I hope you feel a bit better tomorrow - allow yourself to do not a lot today. Do you feel up to marching up and down the stairs 5 times to see if you can get your blood circulating and get a bit warmer?I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
:(thanks BrightonBelle. I drank copious amounts of tea, did walk up and down sorting out DGD. But curled up and watched Telli till 10pm. So I wasted my weekend really as I didn't do much at all.
I really don't feel in the creative mood, or even like going off to work, but the bank balances need topping up. I am in fear of running out of money as I have got used to a better income and life style over the last 12 months or so. I am in fear for the future as my dynamics change , and my funding dwindles. There is so much I need to learn about to be able to find and promote my work That I am in fear of failing before I even start.
My cushion has gone, so to speak.
The house feels strange with DS gone. Although a lot of his stuff has gone , there are still bits and bobs for him to collect.
DGD cried that he went, and I feel rather empty. But of course I do know it's for the best and it's not the first time he has left home .
At least this time I do not have to worry about him as he will be fine with his Sister. Or as fine as anywhere anyway.
Cup of tea here in bed then I must get DGD ready for school.
Then I better talk to myself and get my BGK'S on! There is work to do.When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Think we need a cuppa and put-the-world-to-rights xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
yes will catch up with you on Friday Molly. X
Been a rough day, but it's nearly over, so Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0
