I don't know where you got your statistics from but there has only been 1 addition to my (wide) area in the last 3 days.

you should check indeed.co.uk they are a portal thus any jobs on job centre, and those such as you already mentioned show up on there.

I would check with the job centre to see if spec enquiries are included, if not i would apply for anything including those that are higher up.

I would take screenshots of everything you have looked at so you can use this as evidence that there was nothing to apply for. Have you widened the sectors you are looking for, when you say one job, was that one job in total or one job in your chosen area?

The JC advisors on here post that a decision maker would ignore any number of jobs to apply for as this shouldn't be listed on an agreement you should just be applying for whats available.

Just 1 job, looks like I'll have to do what slenderkitten suggests and apply for anything, even jobs that I'm not qualified for.

If the job application came via ujm from job centre, then just untick the consent box and it wont happen again.

It's not a job application, it's the quota of job applications I have to fulfil otherwise face a sanction.

I apply for jobs I am not qualified for all the time! I wouldn't apply for a brain surgeon but I do apply for anything I think I could do even if I don't have the skills/qualifications listed.
