  • Hi INOD

I've been off the boards for some time but have just read your diary from the beginning of the year. I am so sorry about your sister - you've had such a rollercoaster time but things seem to be looking up now.

I'm glad to read that you are utilising "Couch to 5k" Keep it up! I've had the app on my phone for some time now and all I do is stare at it...............

    Have a great holiday x

  • Thanks for the good wishes. I'm currently en route to holibobs as we speak with the usual last minute gallops. Part of my plan while away is to work on future finances as it's too easy for drift to creep in. Today's bombshell was an email to say a staff member had resigned. However, work mode is being switched off, it'll all be there when I get back.
    Today I am grateful for

  • I'm back. The holiday was good but not as good as expected. Weather was poor and a few other things didn't live up to expectations. Overspent but avoided excess baggage charges by the skin of our teeth. Got home on Saturday to news of a bereavement, followed by another on Sunday and a third today. Hopefully that's the three that things allegedly come in.

Went into an absolute !!!! storm in work that's giving me itchy feet again. OH believes I should quit but I'm so torn. I received another series of sainsbobs weekly vouchers so have taken advantage of one that means I owe £9 to the mortgage. I also wombled £1 from an abandoned trolley which went into a savings pot.

I returned to my jog club on Monday and tomorrow have my second last counselling session. I'm trying to stick with the "improvement activities". Fingers crossed that things improve as they feel decidedly unsettled at present. Must go and look at my on line credit card transactions. May need to stock up on Kleenex first.

  • Hi INOD - really sorry to hear that you're having such a tough time, and that your holiday wasn't as good as expected :(
Maybe a pros/cons list is a good idea for your job - sometimes the right thing doesn't come up until you're ready to 'move on' mentally
