Hope you are okay INOD. It's hard keeping a relationship going when there are so many stressors - not doing too well in that department myself right now. I hope it is fixable and that life hands you some better cards over the next few months. If you get any spare good cards, please post them to me. :)

  • Everyone, my thanks for the good wishes, you really are the best.

Things continued in a strained fashion until Wednesday when I forced a discussion. It appears that we are not at cross purposes rather that one of us can drift along without forethought. Not what you call satisfactory but he is so good in so many other ways and he puts up with me. I'm still not entirely settled but he is making more of an effort.

Tomorrow I start my couch to 5k programme, I got certified fit for it last Wednesday and I'm keen to give it a go. This hasn't been the greatest of years but I'm keen to notch up a positive achievement before it's over. Tonight I need to sort out my running stuff as I will need an early finish from work tomorrow. Last week I received a batch of weekly t3sco vouchers through. I still have sainsbobs ones plus the local grocery store giving £5 off a £25 spend. I won't be able to use them all so will pass on the grocery store one as it's the only one that doesn't carry a name.

I used a sainsbobs one on Wednesday and picked up the new jilly cooper That was on offer along with two new reduced price bath sheets. I also got extra nectar points that I am saving for Christmas. We made it through this weekend without resorting to a takeaway other than the portion of chips purchased on Friday to accompany our main meal. This is allowable as we deliberately don't have any kind of fryer to reduce the temptation that could arise.
This will be my last week pre holiday. I did a few hours today just to ease the pressure so fingers crossed it won't be too hectic.

    Today I am grateful for
    Contact from nice family
    Sausages

Here's hoping everyone's week starts well and ends even better.

  • Inod - I started the couch to 5k last week! I'm unbelievably unfit so I'm going to have to do each week 2-3 times before being able to move on, but I'm okay with that. I would recommend the podcasts as the music really helps to motivate and there's less chance of overdoing it. Good luck!

  • Amy I'm attending an exercise group to do my couch to 5k. I'm not disciplined enough to do it on my own.

  • Today was supposed to be my last non working day but nightmare hit the inbox yesterday so it's all hands on deck today. OH pitched in with about 3 hours work last night. Yesterday was a dublin day so a ridiculous o'clock start. Today I have my third last counselling session and my second couch to 5k this evening. I also need to bank a cheque, thank you in box £s and yesterday got word of another £5 voucher from gfk. I've decided to forgo using vouchers and shopping this week. I'll go on Sunday to create supplies for dd while we're away.
    Today I am grateful for
The pound rising, albeit gradually, against the dollar and the euro
A team that pitches in when needed
That me and oh are celebrating an anniversary way beyond our expectations.

  • Panic panic breathe, panic panic breathe, panic choc panic breathe and so it will continue today. Things are close to melt down and completion work wise but while I may do a few hours in the office on Saturday, today is my last day with people around me making demands. I'm so ready for this holiday so will just focus on getting through the next few days as I'm in dublin with clients all day tomorrow.
Did second session of couch to 5k yesterday and will squeeze another in on Monday night. It feels good to be moving. I'm at the stage of list making and working through but must remember, progress not perfection. Anyhow today I am grateful for
The people who give up their time to help others get fit
Input from others at times of need
    A decent sports bra.
