  • Have always been told not to ignore from others on here? Now I am even more confused. I wish they would just do it in my name at least!

Thank you for your reply. I feel really stressed by this!

What's confusing? Have you not discovered how well the first page heading 'search this forum' (next to 'forum tools' on page one) works on this forum board? You appear to be isolated on your own thread and not just using the forum as it is intended - to inform yourself and be ready for this well-known junk mail.

'Zenith' would be the keyword to experiment with, please do use the search facility. Your confusion is because you don't appear to be reading relevant stuff and - rather than panic and fly straight to this thread - you could have just read other threads mentioning tedious old Zenith (who are in fact Debt Recovery Plus). Are you literally just coming to your own thread only, and following links we give you in replies - when there's a whole massive forum out there full of endless stuff about Zenith and DRP. We are bored by it and you will be too if you read how commonly this is discussed every week.

I have no clue why people get stressed about these boring junk mail colourful threatograms which have been doing the rounds for nearly a decade, which you'd also know if you read the sticky 'PPC letter chains' (top of the forum, linked by Crabman, it was there all the time):

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2329119

You are on a forum where you could search and find any of this info on hundreds of threads exactly like yours, and yet you are posting twice that you are confused - you don't mention having searched to learn about Zenith letters. Having first posted in December 2013, I would have hoped you'd have sussed the whole junk mail scam by now and be ready for it all, having read similar threads ages ago, and the stickies. If not, do so now and try some forum searches for unusual keywords.

    Hi guys,

I overstayed my limit in a free car park in a retail park back on 19/10/13 and I've received about 5/6 letters since, firstly off Euro Car Parks then Debt Recovery Plus and the last 2 (one being today) from Zenith Collections.

Today's letter says - Zenith Collections with a Notice of Intention to Commence Legal Proceedings black box underneath the Zenith logo in the top right hand corner of the letter.

They are still offering to accept £75 within the next 7 days or else it will then go up to £130. The rest of the letter warns about further non-payment and mentions County Court Judgments and saying these costs will be added

£30 court fee to issue CCJ
    £50 solicitor's costs on claim
£22 solicitor's costs on entry of judgement

The rest then mentions how CCJ's can affect your credit rating, applying for loans, mortgages etc. That's all their wording and I've noticed that they spell Judgements incorrectly in the letter.

I have never responded to any of the letters so do I carry on not replying or is there another procedure I should take? There are so many topics I'm not sure which ones I should follow so thought I'd put my position that I'm in on here for advice on the next step? Thanks for you time...

  • Speedo I'm glad I'm not the only one! Iv read hundreds of threads, but every one is different and I don't know which bit applies to me and can't understand the lingo. I don't have the luxury of spending hours of child free time doing it so often have baby/toddler with me when reading and it all gets very complicated!

But feel like iv been told off on here for not understanding so stopped posting. Still really stressed over it though and don't know what to do. :-(

Sure way to get real help with your problem from a highly respected and informed forum regular who has helped countless people in your position successfully challenge their PCN.

Do you realise just how much time Stroma devotes to the forum - crack of dawn to midnight (literally) everyday?

Go with the new service being advertised here.

    http://www.parkingcowboys.co.uk/appeals-service/

Sixteen notes guarantees this is taken off your hands and no longer a worry. Both individuals offering the service are very well versed in all things private parking and are trusted members of this forum.

Seriously this service has been set up for those who really don't have the time to deal with what can be a protracted paper chase and worry for the next few months.

If you don't want to use the service and haven't the time to deal with this yourself (with help from the forum), you can always ignore it and hope it goes away. We used to be able to virtually guarantee this strategy in the past, but PoFA 2012 did change things somewhat.
