85p today, on a gingerbread man for the teeny terror when he finishes pre-school. He goes two mornings a week from this term and today was his second morning, he got really upset about going so it's a bit of a make-up biscuit for when I pick him up at 12! That's right, I'm following in my family's footsteps of offering food for comfort and bribery, oops.
We have a panto trip tonight (myself and my two older children) which I am very excited about :D They've got lots of sweets and treats leftover from Christmas so I will let them choose some bits from there to take with us so I can avoid the overpriced goodies at the theatre.
Roasting a YS chicken a bit later, going to have some form of pasta bake with some of it for tea (maybe a hm cheese, tomato and brocolli sauce) and then the rest will do a meal on Friday night and lots of sandwiches/salads for the rest of the week.

Nsd for today, just! While waiting for my prescription to be made up (pre payment cert.) i popped into the c*op and picked up a small carton of full fat milk. Had to wait a while in the queue in which time i decided i didn't need it as i already have soya milk and skim milk powder indoors, so milk put back! Saved me having weetabix with brown sugar as i only like cereal with full fat milk, so saved my diet too!

Will catch up later, have a lot of washing to do.

i have to say it 'the freezer':rotfl:

sorry that not the answer you want is it.

i freeze milk by bunging the containers i buy it in directly in the freezer as soon as i buy it. ive had a couple of problems where the seam split on the container so i got a puddle when defrosting it and had to put it in a bowl quick. i'm sure it was on here someone said that could be overcome by taking the seal of inside the lid and pouring just a small amount of milk out then putting the screw top back on and freezing

Small spend last night - 88p on saver bran flakes and £2.50 on a half price cheddar. We were supposed to have haddock (from freezer) but switched the mealplan about and left the haddock in the freezer as OH is now working tonight and I'm off to my mum's, so needed one less meal.

Had enchiladas instead - they were amazing! I didn't have quite enough wraps so layered like a lasagne rather than wrapping round the filling and they were seriously good :)

    Hi everyone,

Welcome to the GC thread tasha42 :D

crafty witch - hope you feel better soon x

Small spend for us today in MandS - only because I was picking up an order - would never shop there otherwise. Got mushrooms, eggs, red lentils and large jar of pasta sauce to add to bolognaise. Total of £4.83.

Lunch for me is lo veg chilli from the freezer. Dinner tonight is spag bol for us 5 plus DS1s gf. Will pad out with lentils and porridge oats ;)

Got a thermal/waterproof coat in MandS in the sale (£61 instead of £95). Yesterday I tried on the exact same coat in Cot$wold but it was Norf Face - £220  (and I was actually tempted.....) Thank goodness I'm not an impulse shopper :)

    Have a good day all
