Hi everyone, well it was all going so well until last night when the husband was supposed to be working late and i had the 3 kids all evening. Its hard come evening as all tired and cranky and they dont get on at the best of times. After 2 hours of refusing to go to bed, shouting, being horrible and waking the youngest up (who then cried and wailed for another hour). I made the husband come home to help me and we ended up binging on chocolate, crisps, cake & coke which happens when we have a terrible night. He went to Sainsbos and spent £11.02  I would have spent about £5 if that but was already in pjs. Pointed out to him that a bag of crisps were 89p and the bottle of Dr Pepper was £1.29 etc. We've got some cake aside to eat throughout the week and a pack of giant buttons but im still annoyed with ourselves.

anyway, enough waffling, £119.99/£400 spent so far....NSD today. Need baby milk and carrots tomorrow.

Had enchiladas instead - they were amazing! I didn't have quite enough wraps so layered like a lasagne rather than wrapping round the filling and they were seriously good :)

What a fab idea to layer them:T I use GF wraps as coeliac and I adore enchiladas but the wraps I get are thicker and dont have the same bendability as normal ones, they also cost a fortune, about a £1 each if I cant get them YS so this will work really well for me and means I can use less and I wont need to bother doing a non GF dish and a GF one.

I only use half the meat and pad with a tin of value kidney beans in mine to stretch too.

    Thanks for the tip:D

NSD's Sun & Mon and only fell off the wagon yesterday to have a flutter on the euromillions.

Today was weekly shop day - £30.03 which allowed me to use a £4.50 off a £30 shop voucher. So my remaining budget for the month is now £137.22.

So in the spirit of sharing, meals for the week (I don't assign specific days - so we can chop and change if we fancy)

    Veg puff pastries,
    Prawn korma,
Trout & pea fishcakes & mash,
    Spinach & ricotta canneloni,
    Indian chickpea stew,
    Falafel with cous cous,
    Sardine & olive pasta

XSPender I have a recipe for GF flour tortillas if you'd like to try, can't vouch for them though as I only got the cookbook for Xmas and am being a bit of a lazy mare on the cooking side (need to tidy up before I can get my kitchen magic on!)

I had to buy more food today I was very dissapointed with the save with jamie book.

this went in the bin yesterday evening and ended up eating packet pasta last night. This is spinach and chicken cannelloni:

Why did it go in the bin? Looks edible to me?

the chicken was dry, it was leftovers and i stored it as advised.
wasnt nice at all and the mixture of spices ect used didnt go well.
ive spent a fortune this week on thigs from this book and had to go out today to buy meals for the next 3 days as i had to throw the chicken out.

safe to say sticking to what i know next week, and will experiment new things once a week not for the whole week :)
I actually had a meal plan from the 'save with jamie' book to be delivered sunday, came to £85. I have amended my order h meals I know my family like and it has come in at £55 inc delivery....a bug defference for me :)
