    hi there
well after what I thought was a good week, have just totted it up and have spent £58.45:eek: am really shocked, thought it was about 30 quid, thank goodness for challenges like this!

on the plus side, I have had 3 NSD's and have got quite a bit for this week already

would also like to let those who are interested that the out of date fray bentos pie was fine, well as fine as a fray bentos pie can be, drives me nuts that it cost a quid and there is no way on earth I could make a PROPER chicken pie for that

anyway, here is to getting back on target

    cheers y'all:beer:

NSD for me, but not celebrating as I've had a bad day - work was freezing with the boiler broken and the front door stuck open, and dinner was less than a triumph.

Made cabbage with juniper berries, roast potatoes, salmon fillet in parsley sauce (L!dl tinned) and ratatouille (canned) - sadly the ratatouille gave me a bad reaction :( so tomatoes are definitely on the avoid list from now on along with wheat, citrus, grapes and coffee. Himself also reckons the parsley sauce has set off his IBS :( so a bit of a disaster all round.

It did taste quite nice though. :rotfl:

I'm intolerant of wheat, citrus, grapes, grape products and dried vine fruits, tomato, and beetroot, and I am also somewhat caffeine sensitive.
  • Had to buy milk today so that is £1.00 spent. New total spend is £33.70

Went to Lidoo today - got some more red onions before the offer ends. Also got some UHT skimmed milk in case of bad weather. I can drink tea with no milk - don't like UHT stuff in it but - need my daily custard for calcium.
I went in the new B&M shop for first time - not bad - got a tub of Robertson's Mincemeat - 1.362 kg for 99p!
    Spent £4.35.
We had HM Cheese & Ham Quiche + HM wedges + roasted carrots/peppers/onions/tomatoes for dinner.

Oh dear...yesterday wasn't an NSD after all. Was starving by the time I got on the train home from work so ate the biscuits I carry for LO. Which meant we had to go to Mr. A to replace them (LO is a biscuit fiend - wonder who he got that from). Two packs of biscuits for LO - £2 - total spend - £18.17. Ooops.

Got some more soup for lunches plus several YS pastries for work meals. Also got lentils, fruit, gungo beans (whatever they are, OH wanted them), peppers, breadsticks and two tubes of Harissa sauce that OH loves. Not a lot to be honest - we will still need a shop on the weekend for milk and veg. Must try harder not to go shopping for the sake of it.

    Total so far: £42.94
    Mortgage (original/ current):193,000 (23/09/11)/ £102,500 (07/11/2019)
    2019 Challenges: Make £300 a month: £9.71/£300 (January)
