Over budget already - £198.66 / £180 and I still have a week or so to go :(

I found it hard sticking to £200 per month so aiming for £180 has proven a challenge.

Looking at receipts I did manage to reduce my spending on meat and treats but spent more on salad things, fresh fruit and veg. Oh and fish, fresh fish is **** expensive in Scotland even when you live less than 10 miles from the sea!

It looks like I need to get growing - roll on the spring
  • Well I have to declare that I have come I over budget by £16.01 this month!! BUT this would have been even more had I not joined this challenge! So thanks to everybody and I will be joining the Feb challenge.

Last day yesterday and spent £10.62 in HB.
My meat order hasn't arrived, so there will be a big chunk out of my Febuary budget :( but hey ho....have got lots in cupboard and freezer so should be ok. I'll update my sig and see you in February :)

Thanks all for keeping me on track.

    Morning all,
Just did a veg/eggs shop for the week - should be fine now until next week I think (if not longer!) Still plenty of meat in the freezer, plus lentils and tinned beans in the cupboard.

Another NSD for me yesterday, which I'm particularly pleased about, as my lovely OH was visiting - managed to feed both of us all day from what I had in stock. :j Before this challenge I definitely would have felt the need to go out and buy 'extra'. We had salad and tuna for lunch, cake for afternoon tea, and fish and HM chips for dinner, with a mango for pud.

    Yum.

Edit: Still two more weeks for me - think I'll be well under for groceries but oh dear, seriously need to do something about that entertainment budget!!

Declaring at £175.43 and my budget was £160 for the month so we've gone over, but not my too much and it was a long month so I'm not too annoyed. Hopefully we will be in budget at the end of Feb :)

Thanks for all the inspiration and see you all on the Feb board x
Thank you to everyone who posts on here :)
