£8.95 today on McDonalds *tut tut*. Took two of the terrors to half price bowling and let them have a happy meal each afterwards, DH and I had a chicken burger each and shared a coke. Could have been much worse I guess!
Tea tonight is a curry, made with one chicken breast, peas, onion, cauli a 59p butter chicken pouch from home bargains and 4 tablespoons of greek yoghurt. We'll share 2 x boil in the bag rices from Lidls, that will be plenty of rice for the 4 of us (eldest is at nanny's for tea). Pudding is Crank's belgian cake (made with leftover Christmas mincemeat, it's cooking in a loaf tin as I type and smells gorgeous), maybe with custard for the terrorsNothing like a nice homemade cake on a Sunday

Things have gone a bit pear shaped with other family members' spends affecting the total.
After a brilliant start to the year I'm closing in on my £300 ceiling at £263 with still another two weeks to go. Blown it I think. Must do better in Feb.January GC 299/300

I got some groceries in yesterday, but couldn't find ordinary salt in L!dl (I have run out) so I will have to go to MrT at some point in the next day or two so I can bake some bread.
Where do people find out about special offers on foods, I seem to have forgotten?

Have been keeping hold of receipts from the month, thought it was worse but a total of £63.48 to add to the spends.
We were in New York last week to celebrate my 30th birthday and didn't spend nearly as much as planned, which was great - but had I not been struck down with a horrible cold/cough and forced to stay in for nearly 2 days it would have been a different story!!
10 days left of our food month to go, the freezer is slowly emptying - we were meant to be moving out of our rental on 31st Jan but are now staying til the 12th Feb so have a bit longer to eat up! Also *hopefully* we will have completed on our purchase by then which will make things so much easier!MFW 2016 #32 £1574.66/£1500:j:j0 -
Have now spent within pence of the target for the month which ends for me on 21st when I get paid. I have cheated a bit as I wanted a few jars of hot chocolate reduced from £2.74 to £1.50 in Asda so spent some of the balance on a Christmas savings card as there was nothing left in the budget. The card is from last year and there is still £115 left on it so it is good for little extras throughout the year.Solar Suntellite 250 x16 4kW Afore 3600TL dual 2KW E 2KW W no shade, DN15 March 14

I'm going to join in with the next challenge in February. This month I've kept every receipt and logged every spend, also I've been working out how much I'm spending on pets, toiletries and food. I'm very very shocked at 1. How much I actually spend on grocerys a month, this is a lot higher than my estimate as I never really counted all the small shops for pints of milk etc
2. How much I spend on pets and toiletries, I always assumed that my food shop was where I could save the most money but I think I need to address how much I spend on pet food first.0 -

Thank you I think I will enjoy the challenge, I have always ignored the date on a tin as I also am of the age when we didn't have them. its just that being oldstyle born and bred I don't normally use tins. but Hey Ho these tins are free, so I better find some recipes to use them216/2018 (make ££ in 2018)
