MrsCautious wrote: »Morning all, I'm on a weekend break to London and went to see Wicked last night, it has been a new experience for me doing it with money saving in mind, well to be honest there hasn't been a great deal of money saving but well at least I have had it in mind. . . Especially when we walked to the theatre from our hotel and followed directions in a route planner, did have to give up and get a taxi when we got lost, cost me £5.60 but he knocked 60p off.
Anyway sorry here I am making full use of the hotel's free wifi!
I'm adding £24 to my total as despite saying I was banning myself from hunting for YS bargains, I bought a stash when I went to Sains on Friday night to buy stuff for our lunch on the way down here.
I made 15.05 of savings altogether, with some lamb and mint sausages down from £3.20 to 75p, a beef roasting joint at £6, down from £9, rolls for 35p for 4 or 6, apple juice at 40p a big carton, half price part-baked rolls, low fat custard 44p off, Oreos for 25p, hula hoops down from £3 to £1.50, stuffing with 71p off, tinned tomatoes down by 60p. Saved more than £5 on a large pizza and two lots of cheese and bacon potato skins in a meal deal for £8, which will do 2 meals, one including a friend coming for tea! I think I timed it just right (7.10) and even the cashier remarked on my bargains.
I'm off to Trafalgar Square and am possibly going to have a cup of coffee in the room plus a cereal bar for my breakfast, as we are room only, my waistline will thank me as much as my purse.
Have a great day all, thanks for continued inspiration xx
Well done on the YS, enjoy your break in London.Slimming World at target0 -

Morning all
Past couple of weeks have been mad - issues at work and at home but am hoping things will soon settle . I have had no "me" time to get on computer at all, for reading site or any other email for that matter!
Anyway I did though remember to throw all receipts into a pile and have just totted them up so since last posting which is a couple of weeks agoI have spent£104.41 so will alter my sig.
This includes a £11 shop of YS bargains that have refilled my freezer of meat, lots of fish and pizzas:0)(oh and some very nice "aft£r 8" puddings down to 25p for 4 and clotted cream down to 20p , bang went the healthy eating plan!)
Have actually got a half hour spare so going to make a cuppa and do some catch up reading on here.

Hi all, just stopping by to say I've spent £72.17 so far this month. My target is less than £100 got to grab some bits from Mr T later on this week but (fingers firmly crossed) it should be do-able!0

Ald1 Saturday 4th Jan £53.06
Mr T 10th Jan £1.15
Ald1 Friday 10th Jan £61.84
Makr0 Thursday 16th £52.73
Ald1 Saturday 18.01 £67.64
This is my spending so far this month the Makr0 spend was on some dish washer tablets, washing powder, soften and toilet roll. Dish washer should last all year and I think washing powder and soften should last 6 months and all was on offer.
I honestly can't believe how much we have saved moving from my t to ald1 last year we spent over £500 a month on shopping and I only have one more shopping planned this month so I think I be budget :-).
The next thing I am looking at is saving money on meat I was looking at on line companies also some one said a big market near us does really good bulk deals so might try that next week its 25 min drive but could be worth it. If any one has good places for meat be much appreciated
After reading on here we invested in a bread maker and can't believe how much we are saving using it as we love our bread in our house. Hubby is now obsessed into getting chickens now so doing lot of research into that at the mo :-).
I love reading every ones comments, tip and hints really spurs us on :T:April 2017 Credit Card Debit £22340
