Went to waitr0se tonight as needed some fresh air and the nearest one is quite a drive away. DH wanted saffron and fresh green beans for the recipe he was making tonight. Spent £16 but OMG the hairy bikers pilau that DH made was amazing and worth the extra spends. I even had seconds:eek:

Also bought chicken dippers for DS and mull3r rice on offer and jewellery dip. I forgot to buy bramleys for tomorrow's pudding so went to the farm shop and spent £2.39 on 4 and a big sweet potato.

This morning DS and I made chocolate buns and AGCJ peanut butter granola. The rate that DS is eating the buns I will need to make something else tomorrow for lunches.;)

Keep an eye on Gumtree or Freecycle and you might get a good bargain. If you're on Facebook, check the selling pages for your local area or even post a request to see if you know someone who has a spare old telly they haven't thrown away.
  • What a disastrous shopping trip:( lidl had hardly anything I needed, so ended up going to tesco & getting loads  bought a fair bit of meat that has gone in the freezer, but even so, I'm really annoyed with myself :(

Just after posting my last post earlier today i went to Morries to do a small shop, i ended up stocking up on coffee and bought a new razor too and they had the sausages i liked on offer too so i spent a whopping £48.22  I was only supposed to spend £20

    £278.35/£400

Good news is though, we are still way under budget and on top of our usual £400-500 spend on groceries there is a approx monthly spend of £250 on takeaways (ON TOP of the groceries) that so far this month is £0 :j (We've recorded every single spend since last week of june and up to Dec 31st we spent £1753 on takeaways  So im pretty certain we are doing ok :o
