  • hi not been tempted by anything even though I went in a couple of charity shops with dh who was looking for work trousers.

I've got loads of clothes/coats/shoes/bags etc so it just seems silly to waste money on things I don't need (the penny has finally dropped :))

    so still £3/£120

Got some vouchers through the post for a market research session so used them to splash out on a pair of oasis skinny jeans... cost to me £25. The grey skinnies with the dodgy zip and the blue pair that no longer fit will be disposed of :)

You could always have the zip replaced on the grey ones if you still like them, usually costs about £12 - £13.50

Went out for coffee with the girls this afternoon - unfortunately it was in a cafe attached to department store.

£39.50 - New black courts for work from Jones the Bootmaker No Stress brand (reduced from £79.00)
£16.00 - Mustard colour summery dress (can also wear with tights) - reduced from £36. My friend picked this up and went "this is so you" which I think is at least a part excuse.

Spent to date £58.50 out of £400 (£341.50 remaining).

Have you thought about making a bag & upcycling these old jeans? There was an piece of super scrimpers a few years ago but I bet you could find a tutorial online somewhere. Just a thought :D

  • Thanks for the welcomes everyone. Have continued to do quite well and had no more clothing spends. Contemplating reducing the target after 6 months if I'm still doing so well. I think the decider will be when we get some sunshine!!

Heading to the charity shops on Wednesday. I may pick up a few bargains that the family need, like summer wear etc or next size up wellies as I'll need to replace the current ones by this year anyway.

    Will report back then!

  • Wore a short tube skirt I haven't worn for a while today with black tights, remembered its quite see through which is why I don't wear it!

I've decided in future I'm going to wear it with leggings and boots and any too-short-for-leggings jumpers so that my bum is covered up :)
Hopefully will stop me from buying more long tops to go with leggings!
