No, you can only currently get Sky through a dish (which you obviously can't have).

scroll to the middle and click Find out how to get Sky Go without Sky TV in your home
Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.

you can get Sky without a sky dish it is called Sky-Go on a laptop which you can hook up to a tv via VGA or HDMI. According to their website it starts at £15 a month.
Sky Go is a truncated version of Sky designed for use with a mobile device rather than a television. Despite your two (consecutive) posts, the fact remains that a full Sky TV service is only available via satellite.

Sky Go via a lap top to TV looks like the worst possible quality You Tube video.

I hook up my laptop to tv for Iplayer for example- quality is fine. I can't see how it is any worse if use Sky go for example. Perhaps you could clarify?

I agree I do too, and it's a fab picture, I guess they could output the Sky Go quality to be naff on a TV, a bit like Spotify, it sounds OK on a PC but listen vie a decent pair of speakers it sounds crap.

Knowing Sky it wouldn't surprise me, they don't want too many people moving to the cheaper GO option.

I wonder then how good the quality would be on one of those mini PCs that you hook up direct to TV? (I appreciate obviously range of channels is limited compared to SKY TV in its own right)

OP you need to list what channels you can not live without then people wll be able to suggest what if anything is available
Thanks for the advice so far, on our VM TV XL package, we watch channels from 101 through to 237, we seldom go above channel 237.

We don't subscribe to any premium packages i.e. sport, netflix etc., etc.,

First of all Sky Go doesn't support an HDMI connection to the TV. If you can get a picture at all, it will be sub-YouTube quality.

Sky aren't daft, if it was possible to watch in the same quality on TV with just SkyGo people would be cancelling their Sky subscription in droves and using friends and family SkyGo to access the same.

Despite your six posts to the contrary , the fact remains that a full Sky TV service is only available via satellite.

Actually I never said the full service is available on sky go. Quality is a matter of opinion. As for if you can get a picture, have you not heard of a VGA? Not all Laptops use HDMI.
