:eek:Their Gran thought they were catapults !
  • Ok so this year there has been a bit of friction between us and MIL. Even though it was my husband who basically put MIL in her place for interfering where she didn't need to, she seems to have forgiven him but decided it's all my fault.

Normally she buys us a box of chocs each and gives us £50. This year, hubby got a bottle of £50 aftershave and I got lavendar bubble bath. According to my daughter it is a great, great, granny present! I'm not yet 50.

This was despite me previously telling her that I regretted putting a bath in our new bathroom as everyone in the house showers.

Seriously thinking of re-gifting it to her and telling her I liked it so much I decided to buy some for her too. Is that really evil?

I got a strawberry corer and a set of nipple clamps.

Neither of which I've used yet......

    I wouldn't even say anything.

Just wrap it up and give it to her.

And never buy her anything again.....tell your husband to do it....it's his mother.

I think my partner was trying to get me something personal.

I told him that next year, bubble bath will be fine

When I was about 16, my dear Nan gave me a fluorescent orange babydoll nighty with frilly knickers. It was made of sheer nylon. My Nan was usually pretty good with presents, but I don't know why she got me that.

Fridge magnets! I hate the things with a vengence. Nobody has ever seen a magnet on my fridge, so why do people keep buying them for me??

Because you clearly have none! :rotfl:

I really shouldn't have clicked on that. You've brought back some really unwanted image!:p

One year, mum's sisiter and BIL bought my dad a Gillet shaving set - this was when he was using an electric shaver. I was so tempted to ask if I could have the shaving gel.:p Mum got a a box file.
