  • My OH got me air freshner. For my car. Wrapped up.

Cherry jelly bean ones! I love them

Lol I forgot about that, my DH did too, a pack of vent sticks from Yankee Candles! Also got some candles too, but the car air freshers were wrapped up on their own!

The cherry jelly belly ones are my fave too. :)

I have two older sisters and one year we all got a lady razor and shaving gel each from an auntie. We've never worked out why

Another year a different auntie got us all a beauty set of a little red bag, cotton gloves and a circular flannel that had a piece cut out. We had to ask her what the flannel was for and she didn't know either! Turned out her daughter in law was doing Avon so she just bought 3 of something that looked good from the catalogue lol

This year my OH's mam got me a box of tea bags, and cherry liqueur chocolates. I don't like dark chocolate, liqueur, or cherry flavoured chocolates. OH has enjoyed them though!

I love the presents kids get parents. I remember buying my mam a glass sculpture of an animal every year, she had dolphins, tigers, monkeys and my personal favourite - the giant eagle. I think she must have said she liked the first one, so I didn't stop buying them for about 8 years. Poor woman had her bedroom covered in them - now I realise that it wasn't because they were 'so special that she wanted them close during the night' that she wouldn't put them on display downstairs!

  • aaaaargh........ where do i start....

even tho I had a list and people were specifically told to choose from the list and not to deviate from the list....... why oh why dont people listen to me..... I did however get the 2 things I really wanted, new camara ( + all the accessories) and a big bottle of Lola by marc jacobs...... here is my list of yet again unwanted things.......
3 x scarves....... yes I like scarves, yes I wear them......... but honestly did not need anymore.... I have one in every colour imaginable and who in their right mind spends £20 on average looking scarf anyway????( well apart from my MIL that is)
The entire contents of the bodyshop......... made the mistake of mentioning I like bodyshop.... and viola..... a years supply.... I guess not such a terrible gift..... but I normally like to choose the products and scents......
A lush bathbomb.......... and yes wait for it... I cant stand Lush:( I know I'm strange just find their products too overpowering........ this present was from my friend who knows I cant stand Lush........ but she loves it...... I got her a clinique gift set beautifully presented...... in giftbox grrrrrrr yes she loves clinique......... and I unlike her actually listen......
a tacky purple bracelet..... from mil... what am I? like 5???? I'm almost 32!!!!
a plastic bauble with 2 mini lipglosses and a nail varnish from mil....... again I am I like 5???? Mil again......
a snowman lipgloss tin.... yes you've guessed it MIL!!!!!!
A Recipe Book for making a 100 different Soups.... Sigh I'm a chef and caterer I honestly dont need a book to tell me how to make soup.........
Chocolates from mil again I hate chocolates and was really annoyed at this one.....
More chocolates......... as did my son....... boxes and boxes of them:( he doesnt even like chocs.. he does eat them occasionally...... a tube of white choc milk buttons from his so called best friend... whos mum knows he doesnt eat them...... in return we gave her son a moshi mosters t-shirt???? because we know he loves moshi monsters........
A cheap tesco smelly set..... I know I shouldnt be ungrateful but I'm very specific about the toiletries and bath products I use........ The wicker basket it came in may be useful tho.......

We did get a lovely gift from our neighbours tho was totally unexpected £20 Zizzi Gift card...... and a tray of delux chocs..... on a red oblong plate, from M&S... dont care for the chocs but the plate was gorgeous oh and son got a very cool toy.......;) lovely thoughtful gift.......

There were plenty more but wont bore you with the rest lol........
LOVE isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live WITHOUT
  • Pleased to report nothing too terrible under the tree this year!

Inappropriate gifts from previous years included a red lacy thong from my boyfriend's mum when I was 16. And one year my brother received a mug featuring a picture of a cartoon female pig posing sexily in a corset and fishnets. He was 10 at the time and it was from his godmother! We found it in the attic a years later and had a good laugh about the 'prostitute pig' mug.

    I've been Money Tipped!
One of cousins bought me a bottle of champagne and 6 champagne glasses. Huh?

His mum gave me a £1 body lotion and sexy thongs from m&s. Double huh?

Same person always buys my dd odd clothes. Last year she bought my 3 year old dd school umiform dresses aged 6! This year she bought a nice top and leggings from m&s, aged 9!

My out-laws gave us, as a family, a huge picture of kittens in a basket. Which would be fine, if completely random, but it also moves; it is one of those freaky hologram pictures.

The OH left it propped up on the dining room table. As I walked through the room on my way to the kitchen, the little kitten's heads flicked round, constantly watching.

It is now in the garage, waiting any freecycler brave enough to take it on.

My sister got me the exact same thing and it terrifies my kitten, she tried to attack it when it was on the floor! Anyone want it?! :p

By BIL bought his dad a Christmas jumper. His dad had terrible eye sight so if took him ages to realise that the reindeer on it were humping each other!
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)
