Bank Error - £195,000

These sorts of mistakes do happen, my dad's account had £20,000 randomly appear in it once! Regardless of his current financial circumstances, he just reported it and it was sorted out.

There's no point in trying to spend money that you are going to have to give back!

Similar thing happened to a young girl of around 19-20 in my town, think it was about £40K. She had a young child and not much cash, so she went and spent the lot on Disneyland etc. with the help of her brother. She was of course found out in the end, has had to pay it back and I can't remember but she might have got a suspended prison sentence as well. I'm sure in the same circumstance I'd be tempted too, but it's not worth a criminal record!

Nonsense, they don't have to pay a penny. The onus is on the account holder not to spend money that isn't theirs. The morals of people in this country are getting worse every day.
