sorry to hear about the tyres fmess :(

well done to everyone on the payments :D

decided i will pay off my hol deposit even though cc bill not generated as if i pay it to dad will feel like i am cheating! so payment will still be £550 :D

dad came to visit today and we went out for lunch and he treated me :D i just paid for parking at £3.40 so not a sfd.

cat is going mad today as hes been in all day as doesnt like getting wet and he has ha someone else here to show off to! he is very attention seeking :rotfl:

have been good and squeezed in a quick swim after dad went. i am going to eat dinner then need to go back out to do a cinema audit :( still at least it pays ;)

for those with netflix i would recommend orange is the new black, its fantastic. i will sign up to netflix again when there is a series two.

im tempted to get a box set package but not sure which is best. i didnt like the way netflix was set out and how you searched. plus i have sold my wii now. tempted to get add entertainment package onto sky so i can watch the box sets on there without faffing around plugging laptop in. the guy said when i negotiated my discount that i can call up and get the same discount off anything else if i want to add it so i think it would be around £7pm to add so similar to netflix but no movies. but i have my dads sky go login and he has that package so lazy really as i could watch it through my laptop :o not too concerned about movies tbh i like to watch programmes more.

Did you enjoy it Moomin? I have to admit we do pay for Netflix as it does stop us going out or buying DVDs like we used to... I think it's worth it for us.

Ummm...I'm about to start episode 7, so yes :o

I've not really achieved much today :D

Quick update while not having to read subtitles on the bridge in between episodes.

Did our last grocery shop today and got everything in Aldi, so i think I managed the down shift as I went there more often than my usual Tesco or lidl. Budgets all over :( but won't need to spend now till after payday (Friday). Not sure about SFDs, have to look it up but should make 20 at least by Friday.

    More tomorrow

    Evening all,

Fmess sorry to hear about your bad luck that's the kinda thing that would happen to me

Pheonix- well done and I agree with traveller what you said is very motivating and will be keeping it in mind

Well not been going to good not going to make the 20 SFD which am annoyed with myself become it was feel sorry for myself spending . Time to get a grip it's just annoying when at least 90% of my debt is my other halfs and ex wife's to his dad. I am hoping when his divorces goes through she will have to pay her half back to his dad. Solicitor says even though it's family debt it's still her responsibility and in scotland classed as marital debt so fingers crossed in a few months can adjust my debt figure to one that's just mine and other half debt not the ex  Sorry for rant just feel like getting no where fast.

    Hey all...

Pay Day has arrived at last!!!

Over the weekend I had a long look at my finances and whilst I'm still on track to clear by end of October, I'm annoyed that I ran my credit card up again over Christmas (buying presents) and am running to catch up with my Annual Expenses Account due to overspends when I went away in November...

My CC was meant to be for 'Emergencies'... then it became a 'I'll put my groceries and fuel on and pay it off next month in full'... That worked for a bit. It was clear at the end of December - then when I broke into it to buy presents, my willpower caved in and I bought new clothes, and some perfume-stuff - all things I couldn't really afford (and weren't essentials)... and it's now back up.

So it's back to plan A. Cut up the card so I can't use in shops. Re-build an Emergency Fund and not rely on the CC. When I have £500 in my EF - ditch the card (that's the limit on there also). Sigh.

Well done PhoeniX - that is awesome work!!! It must be a great feeling!!!

Kat - when do you move house?

Netflix is pretty good... I've watched all of Heroes, loads of good films, and now on Farscape! I reckon it's well worth £5.99 a month - and as it's been said already - I'm not tempted to buy/rent DVDs anymore.

Aiming for a SFD today! Have a good one folks!!!

    :)
