NYE: Stuck for ideas with a child in tow

This makes me think I'm a bad mum for not doing anything for new years. It'll just be a normal day for us, their bed at 7 and ours at 10. Then hopefully a full nights sleep.
I personally don't understand celebrating new years. Whenever I've celebrated it it's been a rubbish year for me, whenever I've just gone "meh" and done nothing, It's been a great year :rotfl:What's yours is mine and what's mine is mine..0 -
You could celebrate New Years day instead? If you live near London you could go to the parade? or winter wonderland if it's still open? or a walk in london or even science museum/dinosaur museum etc.
Personally I don't really see the point of staying up to midnight, nothing changes
I am aiming to go to the parade in London though on new year's day.

I wouldn't bother with the midnight bit. Heck, I don't, and I'm 27
I'm rubbish at staying up late, so it's just a normal night for me. I love waking up on New Year's Day with that feeling of the whole year being a clean slate.
However, if you want to do something indoors, I'd say drink fizzy apple juice (here in France they do a fab version in champagne-style bottles, so it keeps the sense of occasion
Perhaps get some in for NYE 2014?!) and make a time capsule for you two to open in ten years' time
Hope you enjoy it no matter what you decide to do

We stay in with our 4 children, I do a mini buffet and we play board games and on the kinect - hole in the wall is a good laugh.
My youngest who is 6 has never managed to stay up until midnight but we record the fireworks on tv so he can watch them in the morning.
I like the idea of having an early night and then getting up super early on new years day, going to the beach and watching the sunrise. I'm torn now!Slimming World - 3 stone 8 1/2lbs in 7 months and now at target :j0
