I'd stop the toddlers nap for that day and have them in bed for 8pm, We done mocktails and a choccie fountain the last few years and watched a must see movie at home then turn over to see it in on Sky news x#JusticeForGrenfell0

We shall have BBC1 Scotland on (sky 951) for Hogmanay Live...
After the bells, I shall ring my boy who is up in the wild north (and hope it doesnt take me an hour to get through
Hogmanay is one thing I really do miss about Scotland... But hopefully will be back north in the next couple of years

Last year we were in London on a roof terrace watching the fireworks at midnight. DD was 2 and a bit (never an early to bedder) had a huge afternoon nap and I was sure would be up at midnight with no intervention by anybody. She fell asleep at 11:40pm and missed it all!!!Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0 -
Ok so maybe it's me that's thick but regardless of nap or routine, which 2/3 year old actually knows what New Year's Eve is about?
Pretty sure grandson was at least five or six before he started realising what time actually meant0 -

DD knows more about new year than she does about xmas. She was 3 in October.
My odd-son was about 3.5 when he was asking.Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0 -
Hi
My son at that age was put to bed at a normalish time and then woken up by all the fireworks so always ended up seeing the new year in with us.
Last year we took our children age 12 & 8 to see the first installment of the Hobbit and then a supper at home accompanied by a glass of fizz for us watching the fireworks on TV.
My two are requesting a repeat but seeing Hobbit 2 instead.

So your kiddies can tell the time and know when it's 12 midnight??
They understand the concept of an hour or day, at three?0 -

So if you were staying at your sisters YOU weren't dragging any poor child out in the middle of the night anyway ........so I'm not sure why you're quoting my post. (How did you get to your sisters ...transporter ?I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
