I'm having another quiet night in tonight seen as DH is having a "networking night" - otherwise known as a booze up with his work mates!! I've been soooo sleepy this week though so am glad of the peace and getting to choose what's on TV
Any MSE plans for the weekend anybody?
I'm off to the bank to see if I can retrieve my cash! apart from that I have an essay to write... so there will be no spending this weekend :rotfl:0 -
Haha ah well at least essay writing is free I suppose!

Hi Ianise- have added your total now!
UnaidedSpud welcome to the challenge - you're number 152!
ruby nothing wrong with a bit of networking... Usually means there's a free bottle of wine on the company too :rotfl:
My OH is visiting this weekend - might be AWOL til Sunday, so not likely to update, but I'll be reading! It won't be a very MSE weekend at all, but we only see each other around once a month so have to squeeze all our entertainment into a couple of days - cinema, dinners, day trips!0 -
Just managed to pay off £250 from this weeks wages! Pleased!
Total is now #77---- £650/£53000 -
ho hum, bit slow ATM ! but i have got a big chunk of money left and not much more to come out, so i'm quite pleased.
i am still optimistic that we'll pay off our holiday by next month ... fingers crossed

Goodness, I've been so quiet! However, I'm still plugging away. This time of year is so tedious and grim and money is always so tight that I just tend to want to hibernate.
Anyway, car is sold, and I've paid off the Next card and the ISME accounts in full. The Cap1 is also closed and I've put a little bit of money away to cover the kids' birthdays in April. We've also, by doing this, managed to shave a whole month off our DFD!
We are now just plodding along trying to live within our means for the next 6 months, until our two loans finish in Sept/Oct time. This then will free up nearly £600 a month, which means we can start to hammer the remaining debt with overpayments, rather than the minimums we are currently paying.
Next card within my sights is hubby's Barclaycard, which is at a whopping 24%.
I'll update my total in the next week or two once I get the next batch of statements through, so I can work out how much difference our payments have made once all the interest is added on!Long haul supporter #290POAYDBX2014 #043LBM Dec 2011 Debt £51K Debt Nov 2014 £42K0 -
I am on a day's leave - fantastic - no noise, no one in the house just meee until 3pm!!
Anyway I'm going to catch up on what you have all been doing and I have just paid another £300 off one of my credit cards. The 0% runs out on 3 April and I now have £1,200 to pay by then - so glad February is a short month and hoping that my boss pays me my expenses I am owed from December (cira £150) - really really need it to pay the balance before my deal runs out.

Sorry for the late update everyone. I haven't been on MSE for a few weeks as sometimes I need time away. Plus January was a g1t of a month and I had no updates anyway.
So for February I have made a payment of £285
#49 570.51/1301 = 43.85%
On a positive note I have been contacted by Payplan regarding the end of my plan which is looming.:j it's been a long hard slog over seven years but has been well worth it because without them I would have lost everything.
