Just had a surprise £60 bill from eBay, which I should have budgeted for but completely forgot about since some sales last month :( On the plus side, a friend who owed me £71 just paid me back so I'm roughly level equity for today!

Still waiting on a £200 car tax refund, and a £500 insurance pay out, so feeling rather short at the moment as I need them both...

Things seem ok at the moment. Managing money better! Fingers crossed that December is not too horrible!!!
  • Good work Guna!

Got a week til payday and virtually no money left - its gonna be a quiet week :)
    Starting 2016 debt-free :D
    Emergency Fund: £350/£1000
  • Well, it's payday so the Student Loan has been paid automatically, and my loan DD has been taken. So, taking into account interest, my new balance is £21,254.95 meaning I've now reduced my debt by £756.63 since joining the challenge.

    #216 £756.63/£2000 37.83%
  • I've just discovered reading back on my posts here that I made a blue:o
Turns out in my last post I made a mistake and had actually paid more off than I thought:o

    Another £20 paid off today.
So my total now is #148 £1340/£3000

That has actually cheered me up TBH. And I am now off to update my signature as that's how I made my blue the last time:o

Havnt managed to pay off anymore to the CC since the £200 i paid on October payday and am really struggling this month with the little money i have left (pay day not till next Friday)with buying xmas presents and the things (going out) i have committed to. I have even had to dip into the savings, which i really didnt want to do, but thats what its there for i suppose, just seems so wrong :rotfl:At least im not getting into debt though hooorah.
Ive got £370 left to pay till im DF and am hoping to pay half end of November and then half end of December as otherwise im going to really find it tough over the festive period.
Cannot wait till its gone now.
    Debt Free Jan 2015 :T

Need to figure out how much council tax we need to pay still. The 'free' months will be used towards the car insurance, hoping to pay off in one go when it comes up for renewal....

Edited to add- how many of you pay everything up front? E,g, water rates, insurance, council tax etc.

I'd love to be ona water meter but I don't think that my landlady would allow it....we also have gas and electric meters and don't fancy paying £50 to change them, then another £50 when we move out to change them back.
  • 108 here again.

I made another payment towards the car today. Now I'm at at £8389.44/£10,000.

I have actually paid substantially more as I've cleared the CC, but as I'm using it and clearing it each month I'm not including it here just now.
